In all important continental shows they carried off great honors until a 1876 exclusion claimed them to be an unworthy mixture of Saint Bernard, Newfoundland and Pyrenean Dog. Leonburg was then regarded as a gigantic mongrel brought into existence on account of a long felt rage for big dogs.

This is a dog pedigree, used by breeders and breed enthusiasts to see the ancestry and line-breeding of that individual dog. The pedigree page also contains links to the dogs siblings and progeny (if any exist). For dog owners with purebred dogs this is an excellent resource to study their dog's lineage.
