Now the hypocrit NON dog experts here say nothing when  6 GSD kill someone !

I will say something: before naming these dogs German shepherds I would like to see their AKC papers or whatever breed book they are registered with.
If they don't have any, they may resemble a GSD, but they are NOT!

all44, there is nothing wrong with defending your breed, but, being rabid and sometimes blind about it is not healthy.
I have owned many dogs, GSD's included that were never registered.
On the other hand, why dont you prove to the OP that those dogs were indeed not GSDs, that will make your case argument very solid.

by ali44 on 17 November 2019 - 13:11

I am not defending my breed, as you say, I am just stating that in order to say that a dog belongs to a certain breed you need registered papers. This is the police' s or the journalist who wrote the article's job. Printing an information without evidence is simply slander. They could have just said GSD mix or cross.
I' ll try and write to the journalist to ask him for evidence to support the information he printed.

Or, they could have been GSDs. Because unless you have evidence that they were not, you also cannot say that they werent, yes?
And, yes, of course you are defending the breed, I saw your post on the other thread, but, unlike Rik who understands that there is good and bad with every breed, you come across with a different motive.
Look, my favorite breed is the Malinois, but, I am not blind to the problems the breed has or is facing. I have no problems loudly proclaiming those issues because I know they are there and I am not committing slander when I speak of them.

Yes I can say they weren't if I don't have evidence that they were!

Here is another article about the attack of a so called German Shepherd, but if you look at the picture of the dog and read everything you will see it is clearly not a purebred GSD. Yet both his owners and the media ventures to call the dog a German Shepherd, not a mix as it really is!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2073504/Girl-13-savaged-German-shepherd-puppy-tore-chunk-nose-left-needing-50-stitches.html

The breed is not perfect of course, but is not as bad as some wants us to believe either.

all44, Clearly this is not the article that MB posted about. If you want to dispute issues, one at a time please.
Now, go find some pictures, if you want to, of the ones posted on this article and then go on and defend the breed.
Tell me, who are those "some" who want you to believe that its not bad or that its not great?

Mr Darcy, I am not disputing sir, I am simply trying to educate this young person about the pitfalls all breeds suffer from and how it is bad to have "breed blindness". I am done here, everyone, enjoy your evening.
