The bond of Man and dog is an awesome thing. The modern day bond of survival between Man and dog is what typifies this particular story. As a culture we seem to be in flux as to whether the dog is mere property or something more elevated.
This is a very touching article. Thank you for sharing it. I especially appreciated the Marine's comment about not crying in uniform and he is an outstanding young man.
