Now I know that unless a German Shepherd is registered with USCA here in the United States, it cannot be registered in Germany with just the AKC paperwork.  In Canada, you can register with AKC papers and there are a lot of American show dogs that are dual registered and show in both countries.  What about other countries?  Can AKC registered dogs be registered there?  I've been curious myself, and my co-worker, a Golden Retriever breeder got an inquiry from overseas so it brought up the question can the dogs registration be transferred to other countries.  (Mexico, Australia, Russia, European countries other than Germany, etc)

The UK  Kennel Club recognises the Registrations of dogs imported
to Britain from those other countries with which the KC has 'reciprocal
agreements' - including  e.g. the AKC.

I don't think that it 're-registers' them, in the sense that it would give them
a new Reg Number;   but you can certainly compete with these dogs, Show
them, and breed with them.  Provided the paperwork is correct.

There are problems with some of the smaller / more obscure Breed Registries
of other countries, as they have not negotiated the required Agreements.

Germany does not require USCA registration you would use your  AKC registration for transactions involving the SV. I am not sure what you are trying to do, are you seeking German pink papers for your dog? The USCA registration mimics the German pink papers in appearance but you can not use them for transactions involving the SV.

No, I'm not looking to do anything with my dog's papers.  I was just curious about how the registration transfer worked in other countries.  For example, a friend imported a dog from Germany to use for breeding and offered to send a puppy back to Germany to the breeder when she bred the dog.  The breeder told her that the puppy would not be able to be registered there or used for breeding.

Summertime if the pup when it grew up earned a breed survey under an SV judge it could be used for breeding in Germany. The German breeder apparently doesn't want the pup for a number of other reasons. I also believe the owner of a German kennel could whelp a litter here in the US and have the pups registered with German pink papers.
I am assuming we are talking about German Shepherd Dogs the other breed organizations may have their own rules. I don't think the above holds true for Rottweilers.
