I live in MD on the Eastern Shore, so at times have to cross the Bay Bridge. Today coming home from the 2nd job traffic was at a standstill at the tolls. Sitting there thinking "today is Monday, what's up?"

Could only be an accident. Found out we had 3 "Jumpers". There was an accident, (don't know all the details) but a driver thought he was going to get crushed by a truck, (don't know if it was a semi-truck) so he exited his vehicle and jumped. Supposedly he lived, not too many survive the jump. The other two left notes. They couldn't pay the IRS. Supposedly they did not survive. I believe Channel 13 covered the story and the papers will have it tomorrow.

Pretty rare....... usually the jumpers are around the Holidays.

Well, my day just got a whole lot better!  blush

Death and Taxes...........!!!!!!!!

Sad, too, because this type of depression is a passing thing, death as a solution, however, is final.

Yes I am.  Tripped over my dog last week and broke my left arm - hairline fracture to the radius and possible ligament injury.  I look like Lara Croft with my "bionic elbow brace" walking my dog to the park.  Can't drive for awhile.  A real pain.

posedon...oh wow I am so sorry....

i had been moving (literally) moving my ass out of the house so it would sell...ordered washer dryer which got 2 weeks back order, got it last Friday had pile of laundry up to my knee in laundry room by that time..been doing freaking laundry all weekend...new place has no hallway closets or bathroom closet...thank goodness its just a rental property...and living on fast food for past 2.5 weeks had me gaining 10-12 pounds not to mention starting PMS never helps during important times such as moving and never finding anything because every freaking box looks the same....and even thought my body hurts from lifting, bending, painting, scrubbing...it is not taking an inch of my waist line!...need to find a place to run w/ dogs....so far every road i took "home" had little yappers running either chasing cars or people...and aparantley the only other road (back road) out of neighborhood which leads to some sort of lake is going past mobile homes....a lot of mobile homes....and a lot of what looks like life long projects on cars, building, and collections of every type of shade of rust...so not gonna go there for a walk anytime soon.

Oh thanks LF.  Fingers crossed my elbow will function normally in 6 weeks' time.   Without the car, I had no choice but to walk my two dogs separately which takes a toll on my right leg which had a torn ligament injury 10 years ago!  Clumpsy is my middle name.

Hope you're now settled in your new place.  Poor you too.  Look ater yourself, and avoid taking your dogs via the back roads to the lakes, sounds too doggy.

Ouch! all you guys. You never know how much you need something/or a body part til you don't have it or don't have use of it!

Anyways the "hearsay" facts were wrong. 1st guy; his vehicle stalled on the bridge. While outside of his vehicle a truck hit the vehicle and him sending him over. He died. A man jumped due to taxes and so did the woman. One of them died and the other is in critical condition. Such a shame when one is so overwhelmed..........

I had a friend whose wife, (don't know how?) but while she was walking out of a doorway stumbled and fell. When she put her arms out to break the fall she broke both elbows.

Breaking news.................. All were men with one being a MD State Trooper. And the unfortunate thing about it is we had a situation in '02 with two LEO being shot and killed. One from my department and the other, County Sheriff was my bud from college, we worked together and went through the Academy together. The Trooper was third on scene with the first two down.
