ok..I've done some research and actually went to the pet store to look at all of the ingrediants...well my question is? Has anyone ever heard of Natural Balance dog food? It has chicken (not by products or meal) and duck (not by products or meal) potatoes and carrots...it sounds good, but you all are more knowledeable about the affects it has on the dogs if you've used it. I am getting a puppy soon and am looking into different foods. another question is this: If you switch your puppy at 12 weeks to adult food so they don't grow so fast, are they getting the nutrients they need as a puppy? If you don't switch them will they get too big, or what effects will it have? Will growing too fast cause hip problems, or what? Please only kind people answer....ha.. thanks

I checked of Flint river ranch dog food that people rave about, and it has chicken meal and lamb meal in it.....but it is twice baked so easier to digest...yeah ok... I guess I'll keep searching

Canidae, very pricey in Canada, is an excellent food. It's all natural, one food for all, once the pups are off the goats milk and baby cereal, they are raised on it as well. Many of my clients have switched their other dogs to this food as well, and have noticed a big overall difference in weeks. Used to use Eukanuba, but...at some point I noticed a difference and went off it immediately..as a matter of fact, 20 years ago Pedigree was excellent....then something changed.....wonder why people have to ruin a good thing:( Michele

Does anyone have any experience with BestBreed? This food is developed esp. for the GSD. My puppy was raised on this kibble. When he turned 12 months thought I would put my other dog on the same "high quality" kibble. The other dog would eat, but you could see she did not enjoy the food. I switched both dogs to Nutro and they seemed to both do better. What about BestBreed?
