...this may be a little weird…2 years ago I packed a lot of my house hold stuff when we put the house on the market, a lot of things went to storage including 1 box of my clothes…my “keep” clothes. The box got included by accident and once in a while I would say, I could have sworn I had this or that…so anyways, we are packing again and as I was organizing stuff that was in storage I saw my box…
Box contained few of my favorite things including my absolutely favorite soft cargo pants, I picked them up in LA 6 years ago and wore them enough that there is a somewhat of a fringe at the bottom by the heal area….so I had them washed, dried…and wore them last week and they squeaked at my every move….i re washed them in hot water added fabric softener and wore them today….they still squeak!!!! The material is soft to the touch, yet it does it when it rubs against itself, even when I sit I can hear it in my knee area, it remind me of the synthetic cotton balls that squeak when you squeeze them… I checked tag..100% cotton…they did not do that before…what could have happened to them? I hate to throw them away, they look really good but…I can’t wear squeaky pants! any tricks up anyones sleeves to make it stop?

Shame on you, Keith. Maybe some WD-40 sprayed on the inner thigh area?

Lol... There are so many bad ways this thread can go.
I recommend talking to your nearest dry cleaners. It very well could be the fabric softener that made the issue worse. My grandmother always said that vinger works for everything. Try that and Dawn. Dawn is a degreaser and may strip out whatever chemical is causing the issue.

LF, plug in your earbuds and fuggeddabowdit. LOL... I don't know, did you try the dryer sheet trick? Maybe you've developed super hearing from eating radioactive fish or something?
Anyway, you will appreciate this:
My car has started to make a certain uncomplimentary noise. When I am driving and have a passenger next to me, and no music is playing we both can hear it. It is a distinct "fart" noise. A subtle but definite sound that gives the impression it just kind of had to sneak out. Now, you may recall I can have difficulties knowing where sounds come from, and I'm sure you can imagine the false accusations that are leveled at unsuspecting riders.
Not to mention what the passenger might be thinking!
LOL

Eating radioactive fish can definitely cause normal sound waves to be converted into supersonic sound waves that will exagerate the level of squeaking you are hearing from your pants. If you have mercury bearing fillings in your teeth, you should have them replaced with chicken fat.The mercury acts as a receptor for messages from outer space that will take over your mind and make you drink fluoride laced kool aid. The chicken fat repels those waves and neutralizes the fluoride so you can now buy a horse with no worries about its dying young.
I hope this helps solve the mystery lurking in your pants.
