Hey guys,

I really don't know how to start this properly.. My partner has two dogs 1 female jack russel and a staffy. We do not live together as we are a young couple. Anyways he went on a holiday leaving his two dogs with his aunts who also have a dog.

long story short his female got pregnant!! After not going over his place for a while
when I did go I noticed her belly right away! He had no clue and refuses to believe me! So I took her to my place and took her to my vet. When I took her in the vet checked and told me she was due. Anyday.. I seriously do not know how I was going to do this! The vet noticed my worried face nd gave me a book about dog pregnancy and he reassured that it will be fine.

it has been 4 days since my vet told me she was due anyday. All day today her temp has been 99-98 98.3 the lowest. She has been eating heaps but she keeps going under my bed and scratching the carpet! And also nesting in her house! White liquid ce out of her about 2 days ago. I'm just so worried! It's 5:30am now and she has been awake moving around and nesting non stop although she has not be panting at all. Help?

Thank you

Sounds like it will be puppies in the next 24 hours. A lot of dogs will go off their food the day before or the day of whelp.

Good luck and if you have more questions please post back to this thread or try the chat feature.

She has just started panting and shivering. Does this mean very soon or will it still take time?

I just tried giving her water and turning the ac on as I thought she was just hot but she wouldn't drink it and the ac didn't help either. On her right side if her belly there is a pointy bump !!
Mthank you so much for replying btw!

NO AC, the puppies can't regulate their body temps and need to be kept warm. She isn't shivering because she is cold. And yes very soon you are going to have pups.
