Oh, for crying out loud...just take a look at where this pup came from, and you'll get a good idea of where the owner falls on the experience scale. [Referring to the pup in the avatar, not the four month old being discussed, to be clear...]

The pup comes from Iasi, Romania. Many of guys retired from the military from the Caescescu era prize aggression in dogs. Nadia Commaneci ( 1976 Olympic prodigy ) was tracked by one of those dogs when she fled across the border at Timisoara.

@kitikat.
The pic with the kids, sums up perfectly, what a balanced and capable GSD looks like.

At this point I am just praying the next video isn't of Shawnicus' "nice, plump pair dangling."
That's the only thing I can think of that would make this thread worse.

He has got to be a troll. This entire topic is utterly ridiculous. And DDR dogs. LOL.. a lot of nervy dogs came over the border when the wall fell. But hey, they were all impressive, aggressive beasts, ready to tear your trachea out... LOL

I think there are some issues with this approach to training. Dogs and other higher mammals are emotional beings - http://bioscience.oxfordjournals.org/content/50/10/861.full It is possible to shape their personality, but it is still more like a gardening, not construction.

A very noticable quality.
Hah!! You're a great dog person. I love it. You truly care about your pups. I've been offered new police pups several times but I always tell them I am coming back to you first.
This is what I am told by Chris, he is co ordinator of State police k9...
To me, this is quite the compliment.
most of the experts on a badass war dog don t even realize that when the shepherd was used during the war, they were not specially bred for the war, many were taken right out of family homes and recruited for war.....
The beauty of the breed, versatility and beauty, ready to do the task at hand.
Anyone breeding or training their German Shepherds to be anything but dual/ MULTI purpose dogs, is doing their dog (s), the breed...a great disservice.
