It's interesting to me that I've trained with a ton of higher level trainers, many of the people that regularly compete for podiums in the United States and the world championships, and yet none of them ever have the sentiment that the people on this forum that don't do IPO, and have never done IPO at a competitive level, have. I've also trained with the person who can objectively be considered the top breeder in the world at the moment, and he would never say anything like the sentiment we get about IPO and IPO dogs from the "highly successful" people on this forum.

Bw IV trained with alot of people. But no matter who and what I've learned I'm never to proud to ask for a suggestion after all that's what this site is all about U learn everyday or u all ready know it all. hey BW, I did try it, and to be truthful, too many people like you involved. WHO THE HELL WANTS TO SPEND TIME WITH SOMEONE THAT JUST KNOWS IT ALL< AND TRAINS WITH THE BEST...OK just because I ain't ain't living thru my dogs, don't mean I not training them. AND, I for one breed my dogs and keep my dogs to breed from, I not always buying anything new. the couple I did buy, I bought WHAT I LIKED, and of course I would go for the work those before me did, WHY WOULD I GO FOR LESS THAN "MY" CHOICE OF THE BEST. And I don't have to prove nothing to, esp you, about my dogs They provide all the proof needed as to their abilities and their worth all on their own. I've said it before and I'll say it agan, I am proud that the State Police have chose MY DOGS, not only for work, but also as dogs for their friends and family. And these ARE people that know my dogs first hand. A trainer from Central New York who has also trained with a few good men waiting now for a pup of mine he planning on competing not just locally with also. He too has seen and worked with my dogs. i don 't care if they good enough for you, they are more than good enough for me and those that get them FROM ME. And how do you make your dog look bad, well, when you can't even tell right from left in front of an entire group of competitors, when you've known that for some 40 plus years, no one looking very good. i got stage fright and froze. a variety of reason for that. the judge told me he felt bad for MY DOG, that he would have loved to have passed us, but I was just that bad. Hell, one dog ran completely off the field, around the house, and they passed so, THAT is how you make your dog look bad! I am not a people person, never have been and a few of you makes it clear why that is. That dog to this day got cheated out of success by me. I didn t do good in college either with the public speaking, it's just not in me, but....my dogs got it! I don't lie to anyone about a thing where my dogs are involved, You MUST come to my house to get a puppy from me, and all my dogs are here, living life, not just when i have the time for them. I don t stake them in crates either. And you better believe its alot of work keeping them the way I do, and I DO MEAN, ALOT OF IT. But, thats my choice. You don't see no false advertising ANYWHERE about my dogs, the fact is, I don t have to advertise. WORD OF MOUTH GOES ALONG WAY...so yeah, I DO have some of the BEST German Shepherds.

LOL, BW, naturally your IPO peers dont share these points of view, try talking to some people who work in LE and see if they share your point of view

If a dog leaves the field...it CANNOT pass under USCA/SV/FCI guidelines. Not sure how long ago this was, or under what sort of corrupt judge, but if that happened, it should've been reported. Since this memory sticks with you, you should have no problem telling us the trial/club and judge this happened under. If the judge did pass a dog that ran off the field, there is no way he wouldn't have passed you for turning the wrong way in what I assume was the BH pattern. A judge that lax would've guided you through the pattern and also told you what exercise to do next if that was an issue. I also never insinuated I know everything, that's yet another one of the "cry wolf" emotional tactics to try to discredit me as being mean or unfair when clearly others are the ones that are using bad language.

duke...I know you've spoken to and provided dogs to every department in the United States. I can't argue with what you know. It's amazing how many of the dogs around me have BHs from Germany and then are sold to a local trainer who turns them into police dogs. The police department websites must be lying about their dogs as it's clear since they come from you they have no IPO lineage or training. I will take your word that not a single IPO titled dog has ever produced a police dog.

there is a big world between "not a single IPO titled dog and majority of IPO titled dogs.

the amount of dogs coming from IPO breeding that are suitable is getting less and less , that is a simple fact,

and you should ask people in the business for comment on that, not the IPO trainers,

wouldnot call sport fake yogi, there goes lots of time and work into training a dog to perfection and one should respect that, but showdogs are showdogs and sport dogs are sportdogs and LE is another level, simple as that

You're right, it's all garbage. Completely different level. One you can certify in 16 weeks (according to one of those LE guys), the other takes years of training. What am I even thinking? If any one of you put your mind to it, you'd be at the WUSV and FCI tomorrow. I've seen the videos, the training is high level stuff. If only the dog would bark...
