GMO's are unhealthy. Over medication of kids and adults is wrong. But, kids committing murders probably has more to do with our society and how we have made human life cheap. Violence and murder are glorified by the media and Hollywood. Kids today grow up watching violence and it becomes the norm for them. Life in general holds no value in our society; we destroy the lives of wild animals, domesticated animals, and humans as if life was meaningless.

I agree gg, as being an older adult, I can see how the magnitude of family life has fallen apart as our society just accepts any old rule and anything goes. If it is inconvenient to come to the table for supper, ok, eat where you want, or do not even eat.. Kids have no respect at home because they get none from parental guidance or they are a very disfunctional family more and more..THE grandparents have them or the home is torn up due to loss of a job, or both parents are on drugs, and the number goes on and On..THE church even has gone down the road of CANDY coating what GOD has placed in our care to use as a guide .
Laws are made that are unfair, kids have turned to the streets, to movies, and to the INTERNET...
yes< VIOLENCE IS seen at home, at school, on the tv, and on internet and news media shows more ALERT news if it is blood and guts. Movies have nothing but violence and language not fit for human hearing but it is laughed bout and told to JUST accept it or you are called a FUDDY DUDDY or a Nerd or a PRUDE>>.
Not only does our earth need cleansing but our morals and compass of Ideals need to be cleansed also. What ever happened to being LILY WHITE, or Pure or Kind, Gentle and Meek .?Therer is a GAP between people and care today so lets close that GAP and get back our homes and what is called a FAMILY.

Geese, what a bleak world you describe. You guys need to come to this side of the country.

GMO.....get rid of it, the world don't eat.
GMO free countries just use a different definition of what GMO is.
what else we gonna solve, the Iraq crisis?
by joanro on 15 June 2014 - 12:06
We aren't likely to solve the problem, but discussing it is better than sticking one's head in the sand pretending it doesn't exist.
What do gmo-free countries call it?
As for the Iraq crisis, that's a lost cause.

I agree there appears to be a lot of projecting in many posts.
My intent, however, is not discussing the horrors of the act, but what is going on to cause such demented changes in the behavior of the people who act out this way.

Joanro, sadly this is a "bleak world" that we live in....just read or watch the news. I took off those rose colored glasses many years ago.

Guess I am the odd one. I search for those those beautiful moments that make me take a breath and then enjoy the hell out of them. I try not to dwell in the crap. I work with clients who have suffered trauma (chronic long term horrific trauma from childhood and adulthood) and if they taught me nothing else, it is to find those beautiful moments and revel in them. If anyone could view the world as a dark evil place, they could, but they rarely do. One told me if she didn't look for beauty, then her abuser won. Another told me if she didn't rejoice in any little thing that made her smile, then she really didn't survive after all.

The baby wrens fledged yesterday. I got some pictures of them about two hours before they left the nest.
Mindhunt, you are spot on...but you are not the only one who chooses to see the beauty in life. Perhaps the gloom seekers need to see what inescapable living in hell imposed on them by teachers and parents feels like..maybe they might learn to appreciate the good things available to them to enjoy..sure is sad when a person calls the beauty in life wearing "rose colored glasses". I've endured and survived some of the evils life contains, so I do see the reality of life without the glasses. gg, aren't you a teacher? Kids shouldn't have a bunch of negative crap imposed on them by teachers or parents.....unfortunately, it does rub off.
