Crickets!

Crickets, because even the most stupidly rabid apologist cannot defend this crap at this point. It is now October 1, the championship begins in two weeks and ....NO COMPETITORS ARE LISTED on the website. Instead, when you click on "Competitors" you get the information the teams have not needed since August 30 regarding what documents need to be sent to Cindy Schneider, the trial secretary. NONE of that, especially her home address, should be on the website at all. It is beyond ridiculous. What a cluster....

but you can get the no team information in urdu, esperanto, and many more languages. and instead of reading up on team profiles, you can feed the foreign language texts back into google translate for a faint smirk or the occasional outright laughing fit. that's got to count for something.

This morning i sent an email to the webmaster to ask why the teams and the dogs were not yet on the site for people to see. i told him that Staying Tuned was far too long and it was time they got it together. Do not know if i will get a reply but it is time they pulled there fingers out

Steve,
If you check the competitors page. All questions are requested to be directed to Mr. Yee. There is a direct link on that page to e mail him your request.
As the website says, It's updated frequently. You'll have to keep checking as important information is posted. The most recent update was just a few days ago so information is being posted as soon as it's available. Remember these are all volunteer people with regular jobs. They will get to it as soon as possible.
The most recent update posted 9/24 contains important deadline information that corrects the updated and corrected information posted 8/21. As you can see the GSDCA and the GSDCA-WDA are doing everything humanly possible to pass along this important information as they are aware all competitors and spectators rely upon this essential type of information being posted in a timely manner. It is the responsibility of all those competing and spectating to keep themselves informed of all important deadline changes as the website is updated.

You seem to be well informed, perhaps you are working along those who do not get paid for there work
I check the Site every day and it is the same old thing STAY TUNED on the Competitors and the Dogs. If a organization wants to hold such a high profile event such as the WUSV then it should be done no ifs and buts about it, if it cannot be done in a realistic time like the entrants and the dogs competing, and according to the website they have had time to get this info out as they gave the closing date a long time ago so they must have the teams from the countries.
It is no good you treating me like an idiot because you are doing it to many others if you are on this site and they are not Idiots. the organization needs to get there own house in order and it is them that you should be nit picking with and not me.
Let us hope the event is run better than the way the entrants and the public see at the present time
and i may add the only thing an entrant has to do or the team Captains is to make sure the entries and fees are sent on time after that it is out of there hands until they get to the venue.

Steve,
I guess you didn't see the important information that was posted to correct the previously incorrect information. That should make you feel better. I felt better. My confidence is restored. They're trying their best. The information is forthcoming,,,I'm sure. Just contact Dan Yee. He'll make it happen.
Seems the only complaint is the teams being posted. If you check the website. The countries being represented are listed. What more do you really expect the GSDCA or GSDCA-WDA to post?
If they put the competitors on the website,,,,don't you think that would hurt the program sales? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Think about it from their perspective. The GSDCA obligated 250,000 to host the venue. The GSDCA-WDA another organization is running it. There are what,,,,a little over 100 teams from around the world. How does 100 or so teams bring in 250,000? If the information is on the website and nobody buys a program,,,,what happens? Money is lost. You have to think about this from their perspective. Not to mention the cost of updating the website with all the entries. Who's going to pay for that? Do you know how much that would cost? Think about it. 100 entries at 15 minutes to upload all the information on each team. That's over 25 hours of website updating. I'll just bet there's someone out there that hasn't sent the required information in. That would hold up the process too. You know how things are in this country now days. You can leave anyone out,,,not politically correct.
The same organization is hosting the North American Sieger Show. It's another WUSV event and it's only 2 days away. There's no competitor information there either.
I'm sure each competitor will have their information posted in good time. It's just how things are done here. Good luck to all!

I wasn't going to really weigh in on this one way or the other because publishing the list in a timely fashion isn't going to change who is and isn't entered but once the "program" sales pitch came into play all I can say is ..really? How about checking the fact that probably every major event is published on the website with scores being updated constantly. Hell even regional events here do that. If it takes 15 minutes to enter basic dog and handler info per team someone needs to go back on their meds.

I also was not going to weigh in but Dog it is a matter of public expectation for an event of this caliber to be run proficiently. It is done with all other dog events. It has been since Aug so , one month is more than ample time to get the competitors listed, even for volunteers. This event, when held elsewhere, has the competitors listed already. Many of us who are unable to attend count on the website to keep up, and cheer for our favorites. Asking to see the list of competitors is a small thing to expect.
