Duke, the sideways and upside down pictures are downloaded that way depending on the orientation of your camera during the original shot. Always shoot with the camera at the top, when you hold a device. Otherwise, check and correct the orientation in your photo editing application before downloading to avoid the site inconvenience issues.

Beetree I just sent a photo that I had correct rotation on but it was Big and it loaded side ways. The problem is just to big of a picture because when I resent it as a smaller size it loaded perfect.

I don't doubt that might also be an additional cause, but why that would be a result is another mystery of working around the demo mode.

Just to big I think need to crop or resize it.

Just cropped it .  So when a person enters a picture right side up and it comes out side ways first step is to crop or resize it to get it to show correctly.

Also when cropping on the dogs pedigree picture, remember this is a database for dogs, so the main part of the picture should be of the dog. It should not be used to show a picture of you, the judge, of the sky and yard ......etc. I think this picture should be cropped to look something like this.

I too am having issues. My pictures are .jpg; when I try to upload, I get error "file not valid."

What am I missing

Perhaps too large. The one that I just uploaded is .jpg
