You mean Bush the divinely annointed one who never saw a scientific study he couldnt refute with a bible passage?

What are average Americans paying in taxes?  I looked it up on the net but the numbers were all over the map?  Middle class persons such as myself are paying 27 percent at the moment. ( Canada)
Watched the republican debate last night and just shook my head.  if they are the best and brightest....ooooo dear.  I thought that Santorums head was going to explode.  I think two parties just isnt enough.  I am what you would call extreme right wing but I was completely embarassed by the attitudes expressed by the Rep party.. Sigh No clue what the answer is.

I agree with Slamdunc.
WMD's and how we were told to be afraid, be very afraid.  Of course we wanted to invade Iraq.  We were told the world as we knew it was about to end because of WMD's.
But then we were told that if we wanted to help America we should go shopping!  Really Mr. Bush?

And I'm still not real clear how invading Iraq and taking down Sadam Hussein had anything to do with 911 and a rebel Saudi (Osama Bin Laden).  Other than Sadam wanted to Nationalize the oil fields and kick out the American oil moguls.  In other words, it had nothing to do with 911.
Watch the movie "Inside Job"  Read the book (I did the audio version) "The Secret History of the American Empire" eye opening stuff.  Be informed.  There are others out there as well.  These are only 2 of the many books and documentaries on the topic.

Too many times the stuff traveliing the internet is misleading......really?  what a surprise.
Pieces and parts of the bills before congress are taken and made public and the people are not aware of the whole context.  Ask questions.  Don't believe everything you read just because someone you know and trust sent it to you in an email.
Be informed, truly informed.

I'm not saying by any stretch of the imagination that Obama is a saint.  Actually, I'm not very happy with him.
But Bush/Cheney weren't saints either.  They were in the process of shredding the constitution and the bill of rights.

Don't forget that a bill must pass 3 levels of government.  Anything the president proposes can be watered down by the Congress.
I believe we have a Republican majority at the moment?

GSDguy08,
I know both party's are the same, owned.
I know that no one individual is to blame, rather blame ourselves for wasting our rights and being stupid.
I know the problem is global.
I know the problem is corruption fueled by greed.
I know the government can not create real jobs.
I know we do not have a free functioning market.
I know the government prints money at will and we get the shaft.
I know the rules no longer apply.
I know that a presidential election will change nothing.
I know my governor Mitch Daniels is a sneaky little outsourcing, two faced fraud.
I know the American people and a lot of the rest of the world have been brainwashed.
I know that to fix what's wrong will hurt everyone and people for the most part are lazy cowards who would rather get screwed than put out the effort.
I know it is gonna keep on getting worst.
I know how to fix it.
I know it cannot be done because it has already gone too far and man is fearful, crippled, overwhelmed, uninformed.
I know it is going to be an interesting year.
I know many things.

Moons.

It is like you just found out your dog has heartworms, and that enough time has passed that they have spread throughout the dogs whole body, heart, lungs, brain, basically everywhere.
It is possible perhaps to cure the dog, but the cure may very well kill it in the process, and will surely have long lasting side effects, possibly debilitating effects.
A big painful heart breaking risk, and the odds are not good.
Do you treat, put it down, or go on letting it die from the inside out, maybe use pain killers so it doesn't feel anything.
Either way something's gonna die and there will be pain both physical and emotional.

Suffering is inevitable.

by beetree on 25 January 2012 - 19:01

I've suffered long enough. It is spelled definItion. I was going insane.

by mtndawg on 26 January 2012 - 03:01

lol beetree...just how the right likes them, uneducated and malleable.  Unemployment rate is what right now...about 8.5% and dropping?  When Clinton left office the unemployment rate was 4.2%.  When Bush left office it was 8.1% and going up.  The stock market was at 8,281 when Bush left.  Today it is 12,757.  Now I don't love everything about Obama, but he is turning things around from the disaster that was the previous administration.  Do you honestly think McCain and Palin would've been better?  What kind of miracle do you expect in 3 years, when the right won't allow him to get anything done?  They have repeatedly stated that their main goal is to make Obama a one term president.   When they fail at that, are they gonna gum things up for another 4 years?   I know that Faux News, Rush Limbaugh, etc will tell you all day long that Obama is so terrible, but that's what they get paid a whole lot of money to do (as do msnbc, cnn, etc).  I'm curious as to how exactly Obama has been so terrible?  He got us out of Iraq, where we shouldn't have been in the first place.  Interesting that it was the oil baron Bush family that went in there both times.   A conservative administration armed Osama, and had a hand in the creation of the Taliban and Al Qaeda.  A conservative administration failed to thwart the 9/11 attacks (kinda weird how 2 planes can cause 3 skyscrapers to fall into their footprints), and then declared war on these same "terrorists" that they had created.  These wars then made a whole lot of money for some, and caused the loss of civil liberties and rights for your average American citizen.  Halliburton made absurd amounts of money on Iraq.  Of course there are some serious Cheney connections there.  Did you know that Cheney doesn't even have a pulse?  For real, he's basically a robot.  I digress....  I'll be waiting on pins and needles for the thread about how Obama is worthless without a teleprompter.  I'll save you some time,  Bush used a teleprompter too, and still sounded like a complete moron.
