As dog people, we will not find this a highly informative article. Probably geared toward the uninitiated.

Since dogs can detect cancers, seizures, money, drugs, bombs & so many other things, it is not beyond belief they can detect corona virus.

Thing is, I believe a lot of how good a dog is in such situations, of course depends upon their training; though in the very end the quality/capabilities of the dogs work greatly depends upon their end user/handler.

It is my understanding we ALL carry corona virus. So do our dogs. Just not COVID19, which is a highly laboratory tinkered with strain.

Which strain were these dogs detecting at 90% rate? Actual COVID19? How do we know for sure? Again, leading back to the tinkered with components of the virus, is that what they are actually hitting on? Just asking.

How are they going to keep these dogs working when they would constantly need new training as the virus mutates? After all, there are already hues & cries of how the virus has mutated.

Simply detecting "corona virus" basically means nothing to me. I see too much room for abuse/misuse/handler error. Look at how "boxed" corona virus tests are 100% positive in some areas, until a TV station calls them out on it, & it turns out it was really well under 20%. How can we trust any of these tests when there seems to be so much error in them &/or by the reporting authority?

Tanzanian President John Magufuli, who holds a doctorate in chemistry, found fraud in the testing system months ago. It would be a mistake for you to dismiss the gentleman simply because he leads "some Third World nation."

There is is simply too much fraud surrounding this entire "COVID19 pandemic."

Do I believe COVID19 is a real thing. Absolutely! Do I believe we the people are being told the truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth, so help them God? Nope.

I think the dogs are not detecting the viruse per se, but rather the body chemistry changes that are a result of the virus. Can they differentiate between regular flu virus changes and covid? Not sure, but if they can detect virus infection, period, they could be used effectively as a first-round test, indicating the need for further testing of certain individuals. This would be like the sniffer dogs that go past you in the airport lineup.

I was wondering if the dog(s) were not actually picking up upon the AIDS, or the other adjunct, added by the lab into COVED19?
