Lol. I'm so impressed. That's like a new mom showing her hemorrhoids. Unimpressive.

Better off soaking in epsom salt water and cleaning with iodine.  Undiluted hydrogen peroxide just damages healing tissue and slows healing.  Plenty of other cheap remedies that will clean and help with infection.

And this retired RN will tell you what our wound care specialist taught us: iodine is JUSt as bad as hydrogen peroxide, if not worse!

Normal saline, which is about 1/2 tsp. table salt to 1 cup water is the best solution. I don't know how effective Epsom salts are.

Good to know!  I don't use either (iodine or hydrogen peroxide, I just have the latter on hand in the dogs' kit for inducing vomiting).

I used Epsom soaks for one of my dogs that had a bad infection in his foot (though his required two different antibiotics as well). The vet had me soak the foot a few times a day.  It's mild so it doesn't actually hurt.  He would stand there with the foot in the bowl almost like it felt good.  A few months ago I got a big sliver under a fingernail, pulled it out, not a problem.  Then two nights later I woke up in the middle of the night and that finger was raging hot, red, swollen, hurt so bad.  I didn't know such a small appendage could hurt like that!! I thought maybe the sliver had broken off and was getting infected so I did a few soaks with Epsom salt and hot water and it was back to normal in 2 days, no antibiotics necessary.  When it was so swollen and painful it was almost like I could feel it drawing the infection out and it felt better.
