I have AKC German Shepherds and now I'm looking at a UKC female to add to my collection. Is this dumb, will the puppies from this union be less valued. would it be a mistake.

If you already have AKC, why would you want to mix in a UKC? I don't see how that would improve the breed.

I've never had UKC before. Is it not recognized as legit ?

While dogs can be dual registered with AKC and UKC, AKC will not recognize the UKC registration. UKC is United Kennel Club, they are a big organization in the United States and are a legitimate registry, but they are not the main registry. They hold a lot of events including conformation, agility, obedience/rally, dock diving, lure coursing, and hunting.
