Has anyone else been watching the news reports about a wolf hybrid loose in Pennypack Park, Philadelphia? I think it's a female, it's been seen in the same section a the park now for days, possibly much longer, it sits as tho' waiting for someone or something, & then slips back into the foliage. I guess lots of people are showing up now to try to see it, so local officials are getting worried that someone will get hurt, but so far it has been very shy but nonthreatening. She's beautiful, to me looks more Husky than wolf, but what do I know? Any one else following this? Any thoughts? I hope she survives her fame! jackie harris

Hi Jackie. I've been following it too. Pennypack was my home away from home until I moved to NJ. I hope she makes it to the wolf sanctuary that is trying to rescue her. I had a high percentage hybrid who lived to be 16. The one on the news appears to me to have more husky characteristics. Tonight, for some reason, they were speculating that there are two of them. I hope you and your family are well. We met when Shelley was still in PA.

Hi Dot, nice to hear from you, I hope you are doing well, also? I feel for that poor animal, she looks like she returns everyday to the same spot, maybe where she was dumped off, & waits for someone who doesn't deserve such loyalty. I, too, hope she is humanely captured & rehomed, either to the sanctuary or a loving home. I did not hear that there were more than 1, I have been sending prayers & good energy their way. jackie harris

I remember back several years ago, I was up in Youngtown NY ,and. Seen a crowd of people gathering on the Main Street, Of course I go see what is going on, and there was a pretty old looking full wolf. You could see he took a wrong turn somewhere and was very confused. AND THEN, there was animal control. Guy didn't appear to have a clue what to do and was just stressing this poor old guy out, and as the wolf started running, I see more and more people gathering, and blocking the animal control. They made like a human guard rail and directed the wolf down onto the lake (one of the Great Lakes that leads to miles of wilderness). As the wolf ran alongside the lake banks, towards HIS HOME, the people were cheering and animal control left. It was nice to see so many help THE WOLF make it home.(sorry, it was just a nice wolf story I wanted to share).
