Brother and Sister? Um, no I'm really not for it. Maybe some people will agree but that's far too close for my comfort.

Yes, matings any closer than 2-3 (in my book) is WAY to close. I've seen 2-2 done before by a very experienced Breeder, but I will wouldn't recommend it.

I am have problems understanding all of this. IF you dogs are out of the same father, different mothers, it is a half brother x half sister mating.

Recessive genes can be lethal, or cause severe defects in the pups. Some, such as the long coat gene, are harmless. However, you have no way of knowing that beforehand.
I've heard of whole litters having to be euthanized due to matings that were done between close relatives. You're playing with fire to attempt it.
