Cisco (who is now 76lbs) likes to play stealth dog by hiding under things and waiting for his quarry.

Example....
If I'm in my office and he is tormenting the cats he will run and hide under my desk.......wait for them to walk by.....he acts like they couldn't possibly see him under there.....then try to pounce as they walk by.
.....Or......
If he does something to annoy me.....like chasing the cats.....and I growl at him he runs and hides under the pool table.....like I can't possibly see him under there......You should see the look on his face when I get down on my hands and knees to crawl under the pool table with him.....it's like.....hey I'm hiding here!!!.....how did you find me???

He also hides from the cats under the pool table....funny thing is.......the cats act like they can't see him until they get close....then it's pwsfftt!! meow...pwsfftt!!...Pwsfftt....and off they go.

He's done this since I brought him home at 8 weeks old.....one of these days he's going to bean his head on the pool table frame trying to be stealth boy.

My dog always grabs a shoe in his mouth and runs around with it when he is happy to see a new arrival. We are always looking for "the other shoe".

During the winter we bring firewood home (giant loads) in one of the trucks and unload by the kennels. Since we're right there,
we always let Nero out to run around while we unload and stack. Nero has taken to the habit of "stealing" firewood that has fallen
out of the pile and making his own pile in his kennel. He LOVES to steal it and it's hysterical to watch him sneaking up to the pile,
and then zoom he's gone. We have to collect his piles (all over the yard and in the kennel) after we're done unloading.

He also likes to take his marrow bones and stand them on end in his kennel, so you walk by and there's 3 bones in a row, standing
on end, plus his ball and... a hunk of wood LOL

He's a collector dog I guess :)

My male usually feels left out of ball games, my both girls will knock him over when it comes to chasing balls...but he tries soooo hard, he will jump up as soon as we throw the ball (which is WAAAAYYYY to early if he is across the back yard) or even when u throw it right at him it will bounce off his head, fly over him, if it lands before him he is like a cow on ice trying to (or pretending to) grab it...it's like there is no coordination at all when it comes to catching flying balls....now if its food flying his way...there is not a chance of snow flake in hell he will miss it, it will never hit the ground...go figure that one out...we just agreed that he only pretends that he wants to catch a ball...

My GSD gets so excited, she hops like a deer instead of sprinting. It's almost like she's on a trampoline, pretty funny.

Recently, we have been doing yard work, which has included burying a pipe in the dirt. So the other day I let her out, and she goes around the side of the house like she always does to do her business, and comes back with a snout full of dirt. She then proceeds to look at me like, "What? I didn't do anything."

Oh, here's something else, that I'm sure someone will disapprove of, but we think it's fun and friends get amazed.

We have a pantry cupboard where we keep his canned food and other doggy stuff on the bottom shelf. So when it's eating time, he goes to the cupboard, I open it, and he takes out a can of dog food with his mouth. And then I tell him to go bring it to one of the kids, and off he goes! And a kid ends up following him back to the kitchen to do his job, "feed the dog!"

beetree.....thats soo cool....i need to teach mine to do that.....I do have to spell the word out.. on days when its crazy and I delegate the task of feeding I end up yelling.."For god's sake child go and give F-O-O-D to dogs!".....but i think they are catching up, because as soon as I spell it i hear their metal bowls being pushed around and whinnying...

He..He...He....those are some great posts.
I especially like Melba's dog lining up the bones.

Thanks for the stories guys .

One other thing I forgot to tell you....Cisco can open any door in the house...and when he wants to come in from the yard unless we lock, it he opens the patio door.
