DONALD CURTIS (DON) HOWARTON Donald Curtis "Don" Howarton, 62, of Odessa passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Hospice House. He was born November 15, 1949 in Electra, Texas to Ethridge Earl and Imajewel (Richardson) Howarton. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1968. He attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and Howard County College in Big Spring. He was a retired accountant. He united in marriage to Donna Wildman on February 25, 1972 in Kermit. DONALD CURTIS (DON) HOWARTON
Donald Curtis "Don" Howarton, 62, of Odessa passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Hospice House. He was born November 15, 1949 in Electra, Texas to Ethridge Earl and Imajewel (Richardson) Howarton. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1968. He attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene and Howard County College in Big Spring. He was a retired accountant. He united in marriage to Donna Wildman on February 25, 1972 in Kermit.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Imajewel Howarton.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Howarton and son, Drew Alan Howarton of Odessa, father Ethridge Earl Howarton and wife Mary Ruth of Electra, TX, sister, Docena Moore and husband Mike of South Fork, CO, brother, Doak Howarton and wife Karen of Honduras, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Don had a love for his family. He also raised German Shepherds for conformation shows and Schutzhund Training (tracking, obedience and protection work).
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Electra, TX with Rev. Mike Moore officiating.
Special thanks to Home Hospice and Hospice House of Odessa and Nurses Unlimited who helped care for Don.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
