My daughter rescued a dog.  We have asked several 'experts' about what the breed may be and get a wide variety of responses.  One swore up and down that she is an Akita.  Another said an Australian Cattle Dog.  I wish I had a better picture of her standing, but her tail flows down and bushy.   Personally, I think she is part golden retriever, but not a single person has offered that as a possibility.  Any ideas?

Thanks

I see retriever of some sort too,  with possibly  dutch shepherd?  Not sure where that brindle comes from.  Pretty girl regardless. :)
What is her temperament like?  That may give some clues.

I think golden and blue heeler are as good a guess as any. Could be a third generation cross also of a lot of possibilities. I do see the dutch shepherd also, hard to tell for me. Good luk! Looks like she is well fed and cared for.

Thanks for the replies.  I have never heard of a dutch shepard before, but after looking it up I do see a resemblance.  We are still learning her temperament from the perspective of what is 'her' vs adjusting from the rescue.  We have a golden and her personality is similar.  Very people person and mild.  Never makes a sound.  She has one major area of of improvement that surfaced after she came home.  She can be overly protective.  She gets a little too aggressive and barks loudly and can be intimidating when she encounters a person that startles her; like coming around a corner.  Also young girls seem to upset her.  We fully expect to be able to work this out her (fingers crossed) as I think it is situational from the rescue aspect.

I also think retriever and catahula or retriever and dutch shepherd.

I'm opting for Lab  &  Lurcher in there somewhere. Remember that there could be at least 57 varieties though LOL, not every  mix is a first cross.

Very striking dog, lucky you :)
