Just wondering why this boy is 4500. Is it because he's an Import with SV papers??? Or is there something I'm missing. Not saying he's not worth it, just trying to learn. Thanks Pete

Says he's ready for his BH and has Bitework training, so that's probably part of it.

He better have joints cleared, too, for that price.
I think I must be waaay too cheap, lol. I feel guilty charging more than the average person can afford.
Makes me wonder what 8wk old pups are worth now; I thought things were going down, but I've been looking at prices lately and it seems that a lot are selling dogs for a whole lot more than I would've thought.

Without knowing more it's hard to tell what the dog is...If he's an Import...the price will automatically be more expensive simply because of the Shipping and Exchange Rates...
Then you don't know his bloodlines...but this might be another reason...or his training or what he's capable of...
Not saying this particular dog is worth the money or not...but I guess if you want to know you'd need to contact the person that's selling the dog...
The price of a dog is between the Seller and Buyer...In another words it's what you think the dog's worth...Are you wanting a Sport Prospect...A Police/Street Prospect...A Pet...Personal Protection...A Stud dog??? And then what quality are you wanting?

I could have sworn that I saw that same picture being used in many advertisements by someone here in TN. I'm blank on the kennel name though.

Not shopping, Already own 2 WL females, and it seem's I got them for a steal. LOL
I also have seen pricing lately that seem's to be a bit off the chart's. I try to research the dog and find no real reason for the inflated price. Just wanted to see if I was missing something. I guess you can ask any price you want, but if they don't sell, what's the sense.
No Jen, you are doing a great job, and caring more about the breed than the $$$$. That's what really counts. Not alot of good people like that out there anymore. It's all about the cash.

Qman's post was most insightul; all that stuff does play into price. I would pay more for an import that someone else imported (and took the gamble on) than trying to import as a newbie w/no contacts, for example. So many things go into price.
I recently sold a gorgeous, proven, 2yr old bitch w/very nice bloodlines (imo), import litter out of 2 titled, V rated, KKL1 parents w/super low zw scores, super structure, great temperament, etc. to a K9 handler for $1900. She wasn't title-ready, but she wasn't completely green, either. I was happy w/the price; she got a wonderful family home where her handler could handle her appropriately, and that, to me, was well worth taking less than I was offered for her to a breeding home. There are so many things that affect "fair" pricing. I am always willing to pay more than I probably should for certain qualities I demand, and I am always willing to let things go for less than I should to better situations. Lots of trade offs to consider. Something is worth what someone will pay for it.
I do think that often, higher prices are garnered by people selling to less experienced homes.
