Ok I purchased this dog back first week of july. The person I bought her from told me he had akc papers and her passport but no pink papers.I have purchased a couple of pups from him in the past with no problems. Well I get the pup <7 mnths old> and just passport I call him and I hear paperwork be here in a week via ups or fedex which that's how he sent me paperwork on my other pups. Now a couple weeks ago I wrote something on here and someone said to send email to SV. Well I get a call at work from the breeder < not the breeder of pup> asking me if I got ahold of sv and I hadn't then and he says good just take paperwork longer yet.He tells me it takes awhile for sv papers. Then said I should have them the following week.Well the following wk came and went and he isn't answering my phone calls or my emails. So of course I'm getting ahold of the sv and they got back to me saying the breeder has been contacted about this litter. So I then ask them for contact info on the breeder.

I have asked a couple of kennels in Germany and never heard of her and I guess phone number doesn't work.
now her dogs have Alexander the great on them.
It says she is the breeder of V1 Alex Alexander the great, Cash alexander the great,
Ok I'm going to post the pup's passport I'm sure it won't fit here. Not going to mention who I bought her off of because I'm going to give him a chance to make good. Any information would be great.
thanks steve

Hi Zigzag,
First I have a couple of questions.
Did you have someone read the microchip number, to see if it matches the number on the passport?
IS date of birth Dec 9, 2010 (it's kinda hard to read)?
First off, I am new to importing dogs, but I have 2 imports. One thing I do know, is that you CAN NOT have AKC papers if you do not have the SV (FCI) pink papers. Here is how it hapened for me on my first import.
Puppy DOB 2/19/2011
Initial purchase date (by importer, not me) 2/25/11
Inspected for import 4/12/2011 (arrived in USA that day)
Shipped to me 4/21/2011
I have paperwork, but need to apply for AKC papers yet.
I JUST received his pink papers yesterday (8/26/11) Breeder has to apply for an 'export pedigree' that will be issued in the name of the import agent, and is sent to that person. As you can see, mine took quite awhile. It is dependent on the breeder applying for the paperwork, your 'Agent' has no control on that matter other than contact with the breeder. It is unfortunate that the Agent mis-lead you by stating he has AKC papers when he has none, and for now has no hope of getting them (without pink papers in hand).
I too would have contacted the SV, and I hope you have a written contract with the agent which garantees papers on the dog. I have seen the name of the breeder somewhere on here (pedigree database) but don't recall if it was a listing, or on the message board. Right now, the papers rest in the hands of the SV and Breeder. Hopefully they will come thru for you.
BTW, I checked out the reputations of the Breeders, and Import Agent before I sent my first $ to them. I have seen too many cases in which a person is left hanging, because they are in the USA and they other party is overseas. If in the future you wish to import again, you can PM me and I will give you my agents name/contact info. He has been very helpful and has many overseas contacts.

Lovejag,
And I can't understand why someone would think that you should only want buy domestic bred dogs. Well, the reason I purchased imports was because that is where I found the dogs that met my requirements/desires. I agree that there are many good, and even a few great dogs here in the states. And many of them come from import lines (close up in pedigree) as well. And since the GSD is not a breed developed in the USA, all have come from import lines at some time or another. I have purchased domestic bred before, and will again IF I find what I am looking for, and the breeder is not ridiculous on the price. We all have our own opinions on the merits of domestic vs import.
Zigzag,
Yes your dog was here in the states, so was mine I refered to before, but they were both import dogs (you list the breeder as located in Germany), we were just not the person who did the importing. Hopefully your agent (breeder) will be successful in obtaining the proper paperwork so you dog can be signed over to you.

well i was told who the dam was and the sire.
1st thing is I found out the dam wasn't in Germany at the time the mating should've taken place.
2nd thing is I found the owners to the sire and both owners said they didn't mate with the dam.
And SV said they got ahold of the breeder to inform her.Well how can they get ahold of her if I can't because phone number doesn't work and had a breeder in Germany try to find any info or tried to get in touch with her and they couldn't get the number to work either.Oh and the gentlman I bought her off of does own the dam.But I talked to the breeder he got her from and they informed me when they sold her to him she was bred already. But this was last yr.Then she said he got ahold of her in june and sent pictures of how she looks and said he was going to breed her again but cost to much to send to germany so he would breed her in the states.
So that rises my next question why the passport papers?
Now he did tell me she took 2nd place in show would there be away to find out if she did?
Not sure if it was here in the states or in germany.
Well the passport says she was micro chipped in feburary.
And on the passport it shows she got shots in March and those were giving in Germany
vets name Dr. R von Witzendorff
Oh and lovejag when someone imports a dog I'm sure they have a good reason.Maybe lines that got their attention or a paticular dog or dogs and think now that's a good combination.
GO FIGURE So lets try to stay on the topic.
Thanks

Ok I can't believe a breeder that has produced quite a few dogs with "Alexander the great". No one has heard of or know. not even in Germany. How can this be? And if there is no such person what can a breeder here in the states gain by it? I did get ahold of a breeder here in the states who has about 6 dogs and older pups carry that name first he said he didn't know this Eleni but then I mentioned that Alex alexander the great has her as breeder. And then mention that he has a older female name Bella alexander the great then he tells me that he did know her so I asked nicely if he could get ahold of her and he said he would well almost 2 weeks now and nothing from him.Oh and when I mentioned the pups name that I purchased he knew who I bought her off of and I thought that was a tad strange.Well did some more investigating and found out that he knows the other breeder here in the states<the breeder I bought the pup off of>he has sold dogs to him and the other breeder has sold pups for him.And what I found really strange was he asked how much I paid for Dimmy,Which makes me tinks maybe this pup was sold for him.All I can say is glad I saved all emails. I guess I'm going to have to find a good lawyer in N.J.I ws thinking would anyone have a number to the vet Thinking maybe he knows this Eleni.
Soory about this venting it's just I didn't expect this from this person and I paid a good chunk of change for this girl.
