The easiest way I have found to do it is......
1. copy n paste the embeded code into the comment section.
2. Then hit the submit comment button. When you do this you will only see the embeded code as your post and not the video.
3. Hit the edit post button and then just click once into the comment section.
4. Click the update button.
It will then show up.

as for FB.....just put the link in the field where you put your status or click the button that says link and input it there and post it.
