New Born Puppies neck size - Page 1

What will be the new born puppies (German Shepherd) size neck? 6 to 12 inches or 10- 16 inches? Trying to get a collar for them, or any of you have any suggestion what I can use for the new borns?

For my last litter I had bought the first size collars BUT all puppies weighed over 500gms and the collars were too small so next time I will buy the larger size.

6-12 is to big for newborn GSD...I think the smallest size is 6-9  but that is in a kitty collar - (worked for me)..  Start with different colored yarns to mark them.   then by the smallest size  for a kitten that expands  6-9 - just a little hint - if you buy the ones that are adjustable from smallest to largest with the plastic snap in buckle - make sure they have a clip on them that holds the excess collar that isn't in use........Puppies tend to get caught up in the extra collar material on the expandable collars.......Also, make sure that the male side of the buckle itself has a grip on it.... 

I have two sets of collars - 6-9 kitty collar - then I go to dog on the next size expandable...
