While I was commenting on Leoetta's thread about the " bathroom" dogs, I thought it would be neat to share your funny puppy stories.  Like what does your puppy do that just cracks you up but you don't want to laugh cause our dogs are just too smart?  My puppy is a cleptomaniac--she will climb on things and get things and then run as fast as she can to take them outside.  Last week she stole my glasses--luckily I have an extra pair.  She is deep into paper towels and not only steals them but eats them.  Her latest thing has been when she gets through eating she takes her pan outside.  Today I had to rescue it and the remote which now has puppy teeth marks on it.  And it seems like no matter how high I put things up she finds a way.  She is a hoot tho sometimes I want to just lock her in her crate forever....................Come on you guys and share yours...............

good sotry...

i got one:
when i first got my puppy at 9 weeks.. i came home from a car ride home from upisland.
i also brought my little yorkie dog with me, so he wouldnt be alone with me the whole ride back.
well i open the door, and he just stood there, didnt know what he should do.. so i pick him up and put him on the driveway..

well all of a sudden, he saw the yorkie run up the stairs.. so he tried.. and he bailed soo hard.. i laugh soo hard.. so he tried and tried.. and i gave him alittle help.
i thought that would be funny to share..

o-yeh.. the same night the saw the yorkie lifting his leg when he went pee... so he tried. and he fell over..
kinda look at me. and tried again haha..
i thought it was sooo cute.

My female was the biggest nut as a puppy. And so it's no surprise that she's grown into an adult who's a nut.
I remember at about five months old, I left her in her crate while I went to work a four-hour shift in the evening. I came home that evening to find that she had let herself out of her crate (it was a wire 5000 Precision) and unstuffed the couch. There was a small hole that had been started in the front footrest by my pet rat, and she pulled the stuffing out of it and piled it in the middle of the living room. She had then gone into my mom's craft room and retrieved a big bag of poly fiber fill that she used for making puff quilts. When I came home, I found her crashed out in the middle of a pile of quilt-fluff and couch stuff. Nothing else in the house had been touched, and there was only a little bit of pee by the back door where she goes outside.

She only got more hilarious from there. As soon as she could reach the couch while standing, she began setting her toys on it, presumably hiding them from the other dogs. I'm not surprised anymore to come home and find a stuffy frog sitting perfectly upright in the couch or a chair, smiling up at me.

Poor pupper I can just see him bailing down the stairs.  LOL  But the part I love is about him trying to lift his leg..............that is too funny--that would have been a good one for the funniest pet videos.  I laughed so hard my guys were looking at me like what's up mom..........And Pink what a smart dog you have--she just wanted to make herself a nice cozy comfy bed.  WooHoo I can see it now.  Hey I love it when they pee just a dribble right by the door like I tried but it was locked--had to relieve a little pressure.
Another really funny one I have--and talking about our smart breed--I have an end table I eat on in front of the tv--it is by another end table almost in an L shape.  On the other table is my lamp, books, and I had a salt/pepper shaker and a bottle of catsup sitting there.  Well I get my plate and go to sit down and notice the catsup is gone.  Oh oh--so I set the plate on the bar and go outside and there is the catsup laying on its side.  Now I still to this day have not figured out how the flip up lid was so chewed on it wouldn't shut anymore but the total lid was unscrewed and not touched--in otherwords it screwed right back on!!!!!!!!!!  I had to laugh and she is looking at me wagging her tail like did I do good mom.......................

Xena once again;) when she was about 5 months old jumped on the table and ate an entire pizza while we were getting a few more things from the truck (we didn't even get one piece!) We walked in the door and she was laying on the dining room table like nothing happened! OMG, I wish I had a camera but I was VERY mad at her.

Discoe definitely is the most hilarious dog I've ever owned. She's been a ham for as long as she could see where she was walking. It amuses me to think that out of all the fun she could have had with the house all to herself and our Pekingese, all she wanted was to build a nice, fluffy nest and do the same thing she could have done had she stayed in the crate in the first place! It was soon after that (a few more instances of her greeting me at the door when she was supposed to be in her crate) that I'd just stick her in there, and then peek around the doorway to see exactly how she was getting out.
This little noodle would take the door with her paw or her mouth and just shake the hell out of it until the latch rattled back enough and ram the door until it lifted up and swung open. Unfortunately, as cute and funny as it was, I had to scold her for it and break her of it since we do go to shows and trials and I can't have her jailbreaking on the field...lol.

Loki was the most evil smart puppy.  One time my husband yelled at him for knocking his drink off the counter (he was sniffing it), my husband was new to owning dogs, Loki thought this rather unfair.  So Loki waited until hubby was wet in the shower, then grabbed his clean uniform shirt from the counter top, chirped at him with the shirt in his mouth, my husband told him to "drop it", Loki trotted to the bathroom door (which he had opened with his teeth from the other side) and chirped again.  My husband ran out dripping to save his shirt, Loki trotted down the stairs and stood next to the water bucket.  As my husband came down the stairs, Loki held it over the water bucket, when my husband retreated up the stair, Loki moved away from the bucket.  This went on a few times because my husband couldn't believe Loki was doing this (I was rolling on the floor laughing).  My husband finally had enough and went chrarging down the stairs, Loki promptly dropped the shirt in the water bucket and to add insult to injury, put his front paw in and stood on the shirt in the bucket.  Loki had a really strong sense of fair, if we got after him for something he knew he did wrong, things were ok, if we got after him and he thought it was unfair, hang on, he was never destructive, just let you know he could have been.  Miss that dog......

Ronin decided he thought it was unfair that we didn't share out corned beef with him.  After we went to bed that night, he opened the refridgerator door (we had to install child-proofing on the 'fridge), and took out just the corned beef then shared it amongst all the dogs.  Isis used to try to "help" my son paint (he is an artist).  He got mad at her and locked her out of his room while he was painting.  She decided that this was unfair and methodically took and hid the occassional paint brush and bottle/tube of paint until one day during spring cleaning, we found her stash (he just thought he left them at the school studio somewhere and a classmate "borrowed" each one).  She hid it all behind the shelving unit in the spare bedroom.  Gotta love those super intelligent working dogs.......

My cute puppy story involves one of my Corgis.
She was around 9 weeks old at the time.  Her crate was in our bedroom.  Making our way upstairs to the bedroom to go to sleep, my husband I were in two different parts of the home, wondering around, getting ready for bed.  I got into bed, as he did too.  The next morning I got up, and her crate was EMPTY!  I asked my husband, "where is Vixen".  He said, in her crate.  Of course, my reply was no she isn't.  I then asked him, "you put her in her crate last night right?. He said no, didn't you? I said, NO!  I open the bedroom door and there she was, with the saddest puppy eyes, wondering why the heck she was out there all by her lonesome.  It was SO cute.  She only widdled once in one spot and found my German Shepherd stuffed animal (larger than her) and must have curdled up with it to sleep.  heart

Mindhunt - love the "evil smart puppy"...LOL
My bestest dog was an awful puppy...I swear he had a paper fetish! Anything within reach (and some that wasn't) was fair game. I was starting to let him have" house privileges" - my dogs earn being allowed out loose in the house. He was perfectly housebroken and really up on his OB.I let him stay out for just an hour or so, while I ran to the store. I came home to.....the most amazing amount of damage - he had disassembled the remote(the cable remote that costs money) - it was completely apart with all the little resistors taken off the board. He then took every single magazine, book, catalog and instruction book off the coffee table and had shredded it into very tiny pieces all around the table. It must have been 6 inches deep...I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or beat him to death. And being the puppy that he was, there he sat right by the door, wagging his tail... At one point we went through 9!!! remotes - the ladies at the cable place started to laugh the minute I walked in with the bag of parts. Unless I locked them away he would manage to find the hiding spot. He turned out to be the most amazing lovely dog that did everything I ever asked of him...I miss my big fuzzy man.
