Wondering what is the best vaccination routine for puppies and dogs?
What age should puppy vaccinations be given?
What vaccinations should be given?
How often should they be given after adulthood?

A search would probably answer this a lot better and more thoroughly than a fresh post...and most of us who like to harp on this stuff are sick of typing it over and over;-)

I think Parvo/Distemper should be a Priority anywhere due to Breakouts Overnight from Wildlife and/or
Transient Animals.
Every State has Different Time periods for yearly/Biannual inoculations.It varies greatly between States.
In Urban areas,more Frequent inoculations are Prudent due to Transient Animals.
In high Wildlife Count areas Rabies should remain an Updated Priority.

I wait as long as possible to give the rabies and try to get the 3 yr vaccine. Other than that I don't.

I do not vaccinate my adults. Only Rabies and only because it is the law.

6& 9 wks Spectra 5
12 & 15 wks Spectra 7
After 16 wks Rabies
Then annually starting at 1 yr, with Rabies every 3 years.
I also use the kennel cough vac at 9 weeks, and then anually.
I normally do the 2nd Spectra 5 , at 8 weeks in order to get 2 series in before my pups leave at 8 weeks.
12 & 15 wks Spectra 7
After 16 wks Rabies

This has been a topic before, but since new information and strains of virus and diseases are always coming to light, I think Learning as many different and new ideas as possible is a great idea.....Since Spring is right around the corner, I think this topic comes at a good time...

I've talked to people who vaccinate yearly and people who never vaccinate. I've read reseach and such and overall, I decided to go with every 3 years. I would vaccinate pups in a 3 set series and after that, I would only vaccinate every 3 years.

I do the distemper/parvo combo 3-4 times as a puppy (usually the breeder does the first one, then I do the rest). At 6 months I do rabies. A year after that, I do another rabies and distemper/parvo combo, and then do them once every three years (required by law). This is assuming a healthy dog with no autoimmune problems or vaccine complications.
