I'm working on the condition of my two GSDs and have the fortune to be able to go out in a big rolling hay field to throw the ball for them. I've found myself a spot where I have a 40 degree grade in the land, can stand at the top and throw the ball sending the dogs down to the end of the grade and then call them back up and it's a total of 300 feet.
My 6 year old son, likes to go out with us and round around in the grass with the dogs. His favorite game is to stand at the base of the hill and try to run to the ball as it lands before the dogs get to it. I warned him early on that he was going to get plowed over and I didn't want to hear about it.
Tonight, we were all out having a good run and sure enough, two GSDs, one ball and one kid all hit the same piece of real estate at the same time. Two fuzzy tails, one ball on a rope and small child all converged with the ball bouncing off the child, the two GSDs running over the child and the child tumbling ass over teakettle through the grass.
I have never laughed harder in my life.
No child or dogs were hurt in the making of this amusing moment.
The ball on the string might have been feeling a little put upon, however.

...and the kid probably thought it was a hoot, too!

If the quick 'thumbs up' he threw me before he bounced back up to his feet was anything to go by ... yep!

My son was once jerked off his feet pretty briskly when he decided he wanted to handle the dog's leash, and let it wrap around his foot on the ground. He then threw the ball.
The only thing hurt were my sides, from laughing so hard.

It was just like a classic AFV moment.
And after he bounced back up my son was still all "Throw the ball to meeeee!" So we kept tossing the ball in his direction. It's like the home version of "Wipeout!"

It really is a classic combination, even if my pair are those "Killer Czech" dogs that everyone keeps talking about.
