Good answer Sam.

Thanks 4pack. Dog is not my cup o' tea, but doesn't look any different than a lot of the dogs I see on here.

This ad is not the best but FAR from some of the others that have been posted.....Do you think someone is trying to get a heated topic going?  Lets not fall for it.....

If someone knew how to do a professional looking stack on her, and get her ears up, she probably wouldn't look too bad. She's got more angulation in the hind than I care for, but her feet and pasterns look nice, and she has decent bone. NO dog is going to present a good pciture of itself with its tail tucked between its legs, though.

The dog in the ad is in poor condition, her rear legs appear atrophied to me.

And YR, come on, any dog can look like that when its pulling hard enough. I've plenty of crazy labs around the neighborhood with their back at a 45 degree angle to the ground when they're straining hard- look how far down the pups head is!

An experienced dog person should know that. What's "unbelievable" to me is people who are supposedly knowledgeable on the GSD judging structure by one photo. Can you tell if a dog is underweight, dirty, or with a dull coat? Sure. But the pup you posted is in healthy condition, clearly not gaiting correctly in this shot. Were I the owner I would not have used that photo for an ad, but it doesn't mean the dog is grossly overangulated.
