Dear Blue eyes

Your eyes are so blue that they out do the bruises on your face
Your weight is so light it will be like a feather on my back
Your soul is so beautiful it’s like watching a angel walk past

When you look across a room and you feel that no one cares about the pain in your eyes
When you bend down and you feel the mark burning on your back
When you beg for mercy, but the creature won’t stop

Don’t let yourself think that his angels have forgot
Don’t you let them tell you that he doesn’t watch

You will search the bin for more food tonight
You will fall once more out the back door
You will cry to the stars but no reply comes back

When you walk up the stairs you won’t feel the bat
When you fall you won’t see the steps go by

The moment you wake, you will see his light
You will hold his hand as he walks you home
He will show you the reasons for your pain

As the world moans the passing of a child
The mother is alone in a cell, which is her place
The father will beg for mercy as he watches the clock
The world makes a law dedicated to your face

"thought that you'd be loving me I thought you were the one who'd stay forever But now forever's come and gone
And I'm still here
."

I assume the death of a child  thru abuse.

The news is full of them this last month including the two in the car by the mother sitting in Jail.

Here in Texas , 3 men and one women sentenced to life in prison for killing babies and one was for    the excuse  "exercism of the Devil from a baby who cried day and night"

UNIMAGINABLE

THE DEVIL WALKS AMONG THE MEN AND WOMEN DOING THESE CRIMES OF ABUSE.

They just didn't last that long. Red roses from my kids on my birthday...something my deceased hubby ask them to do the rest of my life.

I read it closer, and you are right YR.  How sad, how horrid, how sick.

How very moving and sad.

Even just the thought of one abused child is one too many.

Why is child abuse soo hard to wipe out?

Where did parenting skills go?

I only wish that I had some answers.

I thank God every day for being born into a loving family of 5 children and though at times I knew that I was in real trouble I can rarely even remember being smacked by my parents.

"Where did parenting skills go?" Parents now are told they'll go to jail if they spank their kids. Back in the day, kids were spanked with a belt, switch, paddle, etc. "Where did parenting skills go?". That made me laugh.

Bad parents have always been around, but I agree with dogshome  that it is getting worse. The doctor told my daughter,  he was surprised her little guy had good teeth at a year and a half, as  practically all other children he saw had cavities.

I was born into a family of 8.  My parents  had a 'wash stick' they used to threaten us with to get us to go to sleep. They had to run our family like an army boot camp almost, as we were all 14 months apart.   I know my mom feels guilty about alot of things, but many out there  had it much worse.
