I would love to show the video...It would make my life much easier....but, I am wanting to do the right thing ...I posted a very, very, general thread and asked a question about what others thought about the way a 'training' situation was handled. I had the opinion of my family who viewed the video, but I wanted the opinion of those on the board, before taking my family's advice.....Then two ladies from the  class I attended  jump in the thread, and risked exposing the trainer, they claim to be defending.....Odd, I am confused....I never had any intention of publicly exposing this trainer or the video I have to this public forum....

This all took place in public, I don't see the big deal.

But the cat is definitely out of the bag yes?

I glanced through the first couple pages of this thread so I apologize if someone has already said this.  Obviously you are uncomfortable with this trainer's training style.  As others have said, it is hard to make an evaluation of the trainer without seeing it in person but you have seen it and do not personally care for it.  I would simply go and find another trainer that is more in line with your personal beliefs.  Maybe it will work out fine for your dog and maybe your dog will not benefit from a trainer that is in line with your personal beliefs.  Again, it is hard to say without observing you and your dog's training issues in person but I am not sure what else can be said.

As for telling someone in the dog training community about what you have observed - I do not know where you live but all my experiences in the dog world has shown me that it is a small community and I would bet dollars to donuts that the local training community is familar with this trainer's training style and maybe they agree with it and maybe they don't.  There is a saying in dog training that the only thing that two dog trainers agree on is that the third trainer is doing it wrong :-p
