Really can't understand why the moderator would have deleted my new topic (which was meant only to boost Blitzen's topic). A little word of explanation would be ... democratic! Let me offer the links again in Blitzen's thread. http://www.furisdead.com/feat-dogcatfur.asp http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/prefs.asp?chgpref=1&video=fur_farm

I read somewhere on this site that Larus was sold to someone in China .... any clues as to what happens to these highly ranked GS over the years in China?

This is not Blitzen's thread, or another person's thread. We should all be able participate together on the same subject and receive the benefit if the information provided by all. Really no need to start a whole new thread carrying the exact same subject, because some other person STARTED the thread. That is maybe why it was deleted. Just my opinion.

Well, GSDrcool....They eventually die in China, just like they eventually die in other parts of the world. Whats' on your mind, my friend? ROFLMAO

Blitzen..I agree, that's why I don't eat store bought chicken..have you seen any of those videos? Nasty..I will see if my son can find them for me again..and i'll post it..it is very cruel... It is because they have to kill in masses..sickening...even some of the cows over here aren't treated the greatest.... anyway, we could all go on and on..but I do wish there was more we could do for those animals over there...it upsets me to see that they trust these people, they were someones pets..

Hi Brandoggy, I'm giving some very serious thought to becoming a vegan. Every dog has a mother, father, granddam, grandsire, etc.. These dogs that are being slaughtered for their pelts do not come from the cabbage patch, they are deliberatly bred for that purpose and they come from other breeders. GSD's are one of the favoirite breeds for this disgusting practice. I would cetainly hope none of them have a pedigree we would recognize, but let's not even think about that. It's just a lot more comfortable to sit back and scoff at that idea thinking - no one would import a top dog to be used for that purpose. Enough said..........

i was not going to post on this as it has sickened me for years Blitzen is correct when she stated gsds are a prefered breed to use for this as the texture and coloring of the gsd suits the simularity for foxe and wolf when made into these garments. Also which no body has mentioned has been those hideous animals made of real fur and sold in gift shops and other such places. this has been going on a long time i find it devastating that people buy animals made from the skin they really would be wearing. I was appalled that a local craft and antiques store that Blitzen and I visited even carries those things! You that say gsds wont be victim here they cost too much are entirly wrong they love using purbred gsds. i only knew of China making them, but i hold every country accountable for the crime as it is imported and sold in everyone of them. Every country is guilty as if they were commiting the atrocities first hand. If there are no importers or buyers then it will stop. When a product is bad stop the money flow and it ends the product!

This barabaric activity is not cultural but purely for profit see this link http://www.heathermillsmccartney.com/dogcatfur.php The traders are now targetting Europe. All it takes is for people to do their little bit to help stop them making money by not buying the goods! There is no reason to torture animals in this day and age and we all have a responsibility in trying to reduce it.

it's all about supply & demand people...DON"T BUY IT!

Listen to Martha Stewart. Dont wear real fur. check it out. http://www.petatv.com/tvpopup/video.asp?video=martha&Player=wm&speed=_med Force yourself to look at this video... If you are offended... good! send this to your friends... let them be offended as well. build up a string of offensiveness about wearing fur coats. I'm not a biggest fan of peta... however I do amire them for having strong stomachs into video taping such cruelty that goes on in FREEDOM AMERICA! I call this "The American Holocaust" Now some of you may become offended by this... but wake up and smell the coffee! How does those house cleaners companies know that the chemicals that they are selling you are extremely dangerous to your beloved pets? Because they injected it into their slaved animals in cages and watch them die or suffer gruesome pain and develop serious but fatal health problems because of it. Start boycotting theses fallowing people: http://www.furisdead.com/feat-worstdressed.asp
