Kitkat: that is not the same dog that was in the avitar when whoever started this post..It was a more all black dog very overweight
I am not crazy not does my mind have a problem nor my eyesight. I am not arguing about it. The dog my post was about was a dog very much overweight by his pic laying in the snow...Did anyone else see a dog in the snow that was very much larger around than this dog?
I am bowing out of this one. adios

YR, you're not crazy. I remember a different dog also. Black and with a larger body. I just figured she must own more than one dog.

OMG!!! This is getting out of control!
Yes it is KitKat's dog - why does it really matter? My original post was asking for CAMERA ANGLES so that I might get a GSD breeders opinion on his struture to compare with that of my vet to see if she really knew what she was talking about. This is my first GSD & I want to do right by him.
Yes it is the SAME DOG that was posted in my avatar before - not sure how you could get a true judgement of his size from my previous avatar ANYway. Why in the world would I change dogs (even if I did have another GSD I could post?) I'm really not trying to be snippy to you YellowRose, you have offered WONDERFUL advice. Just wondering why you would/could say it's not the same dog?
Kitkat has been nothing but WONDERFUL to me. Yes Zach had underbite issues (which is why I took him to Cornell) & 1st response from her is you get pick of the litter on my next litter. We have an older dog right now & and think that the stress of another puppy would do her in. So we have chosen to wait it out a bit. I have no doubt in my mind that Kitkat will follow through with her promise. As she has reiterated SEVERAL times on this board she LOVES her dogs - There is no disputing that. She gave me a guarantee for hips, health & temperment. It is out of the kindness of her heart that she is giving me pick of the litter for his underbite. And there is only the POSSIBLITY that there is HD. I really do think that it was his "stair gymnastics" (as previously stated) and he landed funny. He jumps down them 3 - 4 @ a time when he's really excited. He's a big goof, he's still clumsy as all get out. He has NO OTHER SIGNS OF DISCOMFORT. He has not had ANY "yelps" since our vet visit either - go figure.
I love my "little man." Sometimes my husband must think I love Zach more than him! The first 5 months I had Zach my husband got REALLY jealous of him. I spend every waking moment with him & he goes everywhere w/me & will do anything for me. He is NEVER more then one stride away from me. I fall asleep on the couch - he gets up there & shares my pillow. What more could I ever ask for??

Naliik
You do not have to shout i am not deaf, Yes, and after keeping and feeding Dogs for 57 years i know when i hear what is said about your Pup and if it is the dog in the pic, then Yes, it is over weight, It is not a matter of changing food but to cut the food down
Some people think they are being kind by feeding and putting weight on dogs, but in reallity they are doing the dog untold harm and that is the truth of it

That's all well and good Steve, what I take offense to is you stating that I'm not paying attention to the advice being given.
"because i think the owner will not take any notice of some of us saying cut back the food and more work, So i for one am out"
Why would I have asked for opinions if I was not willing to listen & learn?
Sorry I did not mean to "SHOUT", but I really took offense to that. Who are you to say I'm not listening? Where did I give ANY inclination that I wasn't?

Naelik: THree months difference in age makes a lot of difference...The other pic showed a dog very pudgy. This pic was tAKEN MONTHS AGO..NOT A RECENT PIC OBVIOUSLY. THE OTHER PIC SHOWED A DOG LAYING DOWN YOU CANNOT HIDE round pudginess by laying down .. The skinnier the dog is the less dog laying down. I have 36 years of dog breeding , cockers and now gsd..I can tell a whole lot about the size of a dog laying , sitting or standing....this dog 3 or so months ago was more slender then, if that is the same dog.; I know we cannot post pictures right now,,,I cant even get anything to post...we have a bad glitz in our editor.
so put the other pic back up and lets see the difference.
Now and then are two different cynerios.
slim and pudgy

Standing = last night
Same dog folks!

My questions still is? How old is the pic now in your avitar. How old was the dog in the first avitar. Different look , coloring, and in snow. This dog in avitar right now looks may 6 lbs over in the girth, the other pic earlier on this posting, was much broader in girth and head bigger. Thanks Triodegirl, I am glad to know I am not going blind.

Guess it could be the same dog, just a lot darker in the top photo. Sorry about that. Not trying to bash anyone. Doesn't matter to me who the breeder is. Best of luck with him.
