See ,there are decent people in this breed after all. That is great that Ann2610 has found it cause it was not as easy to find as i thought.I could of swore i saw the exact ball but it was not the same.Im happy this boy will get his ball after all.Good luck to all those that gave an effort to help out an old timer.Ciao for now

Your efforts are very much appreciated, Domenic! Given that the ball has been out of production since 2005 it's a miracle that a stock still exists somewhere. And yes, there are many kind and caring people, not only in the dog world but everywhere. We just need to be given, or see, an opportunity to assist. I think most people do want to help if the cause speaks to their hearts.

I've been watching this thread since it started.  I am so glad you found Marcus' ball!!    I know how it is with our seniors.  When Roscoe was 12 and I knew he had a limited time with me due to a tumor on his speen, his favorite cool bed (water type bed) broke.  I knew I would only have him for a short time, but I ordered another one, even though very expensive.  He had 3 more months with his favorite bed and it was well worth it.  No one else would lay on that bed when he was gone, as "it was his bed".  But now the new pup lays on it, as she doesn't know any better; she thinks it is hers!

May Marcus have a long time with his new ball.

What a heart-warming thread...I've been involved in breeding Golden Retrievers for 8 years, belonged to SEVERAL different messageboard forums like this one for Goldens, and never have I seen such love for one another as this thread has shown me.

Thank you for your very kind wishes. We will do the very best we know how for him, as are so many strangers who went out in search of this ball - and found it!

We really do need you all to have another look for this ball!!!  The web site that I ordered the ball from apparantly was closed down last November but there was a blip that allowed orders to go through, not an IT expert so don't understand that one. (phoned the number, it belongs to a vets clinic now) who told me that this was the case and my order therefore will not go through.  I have tried local pet shops as we have several smaller ones who don't belong to large chains, but no success. I phoned Pedigree itself who told me they have no stock of this ball left, even after giving them the story of Marcus.  I feel really bad about it now. I will keep looking in the hope that one turns up.

Sorry Aqua and Marcus.

Ann.
