Hi, I'm new to this site and looking for some assistance. I have a wonderful smart strong female working line GSD, and I want to get her involve in the sport. I live south of Boston Massachusetts.
My sweetheart NUBIA is now 12 months of age.

You have very knowledgeable IPO (formerly schutzhund) trainers in the greater
New England area.  Go to a couple clubs and 'feel' for the cl;ub and go from
there. Your GSD will thank you for that with the mental stimulation, exercise,
bonding, etc.  Welcome!

In the meantime, develop a strong relationship by recall and other hierarchical needs.
Get your basic foundation established with consistent and repetitious training, i.e. sit,
heel, etc. Train in increments until you know it is learnt in successful responses.Obtain
resource material from literature, videos, dog forum contacts and mentorship with a
successful IPO/AKC CGC trainer. In daily training, expect frustration and mistakes in
training conundrums. And enjoy and have fun with NUBIA (Name sounds so sweet!-You
sure you want her to bite the sleeve?!, 'just kidding.').  Let me know by PM if I can be of
any further assistance.

Inner City Working Dog Club would probably be closest to you.

How about Kevin Lanouette (pardon spelling) in Chelmsford, MA? Has training club and kennel.

Francis Holder is one of the best decoys in the Boston Area.  He does a lot of work with the working dogs in the region.  Check Compatible Canine - it's in Brookline.

If you are looking to get involved in French Ring, Scott Dunmore is your man.  Best bet to reach Scott is probably thru The Pawsitive Dog in Boston.

Both of these guys can give a bunch of places to check out as well.
