Hi All,
I am new to this board and also GSD's. I recently purchased a beautiful male pup from a reputable breeder over here in the U.K, he is now 14wks old. When he was approx 10wks old his right ear became erect with his left one following suite about a week later. I arrived home yesterday to find that his right ear is now floppy whilst his left is still erect. Is this normal or is it a problem ?
Also, what do you think of my dog's sire ?. I am by no means an expert so would appreciate some feedback from some experienced GSD fans.

Marley,
If the dog is teething the ears can drop. Don't get too agitated until he's got his big boy teeth in. However, if they don't stand back up after he's done, you may have to tape the ears. Contact your breeder and he/she should be able to give you some input.

Marley,
He is to young to be worried about his ears, like everyone else said. I am more of working lines but I do have to say I like the looks of his dad!! Just have fun with him right now. My females ears didn't come up until she was 8 months old. If their not up at that time then I would worry.

Good advice, everyone. I would not brace the ears unless they do not stand firm by five (5) or six (6) months.
