Don't let this happen to you. If you buy an adult male read your contract if it says breeding PROSPECT stay away or ask to change it. Stay away from AS IS. I purchased a breeding 20 month old male and wasn't careful. The kennel knew he was for breeding so now I have a $2500 pet,That is what I paid with shipping. I am stating facts.

Your fault not the breeders You should have asked for a semon count on the dog before you bought it!!
The dog could have been fine then after you got him he went sterile!! Have you done a complete work up from a Reprudation Specialist?? The dog could just have something easly treated!!

We are still doing the workup. I should of got him tested before I bought him.

Rita,
This dog has been with you almost a year and a half, now you claim he's sterile. Injuries or an STD could have happened in that time period; because you have not taken him to a vet about this, you don't know what the problem is or if there is simple solution. You can't blame anyone other than yourself if there's a problem now, this long after purchasing him. Also, why wasn't this dog hip certified before you attempted to breed him? If you're going to "warn" others, please include more information.
I am the co-breeder of his litter. While you didn't purchase the dog from me, I do feel compelled to add that I am incredibly proud of his littermate sister SG1 Venice vom Adel Haus CGC RN CD, a1 hips, and his other full or half siblings. It is my hope that you place him in a wonderful and loving home. If you are unable to do that, I would be happy to welcome him back.

I'm not sure what Hannah is warning folks about? You either ask for a dog to be tested or you spend more money on a proven dog. If you didn't even have his hips OFA'd before trying to breed him then you obviously don't want to spend the money needed.
Just a little tired of hearing buyers blame breeders/brokers for problems they should take some responsiblity for.

The dog had his prelimbs. Good hips. We are testing him to see if anything can be done. If not he will be neutered and be our pet. The dog was bought for breeding and I should of had him tested. My fault. hannah

"He will be neutered, and be our pet" yet you have him listed for sale?

Also, I LOVE the Tag on his collar that says 35. Those are commonly seen on dogs in large BYB operations, and at the dog auctions.

We don't have many dogs. We ID our dogs so they come back to us. This number has our phone number on it. He is micro chipped to but how would a person know that. Guess your entitled to your opinion. Whatever.

PS This dog is still going through more testing and he is for sale if He isn't fertile But if we can not find a suitable home that we approve of he stays with us. It is sad this happened to such a beautiful dog and I never blamed anyone. But did want a replacement as I have 3 bitches to breed. Not a bunch of dogs,Thank you for your opinoins.

I just went to your website and didn't see any hip ratings or titles on your girls either. Sorry but having a hard time believing you'd keep this dog for a pet if it came to that. I see $$ in your head.
