Depends on the dog. I'm just taking a stab in the dark , but I'd say summer is a bit quick. Maybe not. Have you done all the foundation work. Just to get your BH the dog must do eveything off leash. There is no rush to get a title unless the dog is 10 yrs old. Sometimes if you skip much needed steps in training, it can set you back past your initial starting point. Look online for the Sch usa rulebook and find out what they require and want. Find that club and do the training. If you are going to go past a BH, then the dog does not have to be ready for the BH until he is ready for a SCH I. I see so many people that try to get the BH by the time the dog is 15 month and then it takes another year or two to get the Sch 1.

To find clubs in Colorado check the web sites of the various SchH organizations: USCA, DVG, GSDCA-WDA. They all have lists of club by state.
As far as how long it takes to get titles, it's not possible to generalize because there's too many variables. In any case, a healthy dose of persistence is required in this sport. Some people work for years to get their titles.

well, my dog does everything off leash, but he does need to see the "ball" to do what he is asked to do. I'm guessing we are not allowed to use reinforcements for a BH test, am i right? He is not Quiet ready yet be
he's learning fast.
