I have always bought Kongs and always have to be careful as it only takes a few moments for my girl to chew one in half. I bought a Rhino about a year ago and can let the same girl chew on it for a long time and she has never chewed it in half. Making me a firm believer in Rhino.

DesertRangers, My dog really didn't like the Kong because, I suppose, of the horrid smell that they have. I bought his Rhino about 3 years ago and he has chewed, finally, the top half of it off. It came apart in little pieces though. I think that the Rhino smells better than the Kong when they are new. I think they kind of have a vanilla flavor to them. Vickie www.PowerHausKennels.com

Would one of you please post a link to a rhino? We've used kongs but if there is something better I would like to see it. Only one of our girls destroys kongs, the rest just chew, and carry, and hord. Thanks, Tina

Looks close but not exact. Mine say NYLABONE on it. I noticed Some of the other Rhino products had NYLABONE on them. I also bought the Rhino Dinasaur Bone that says NYLABONE and it was the same way. Had several dogs chew on this all the time and never damanged it after years of use.

My 13-month-old's favorite chew toy is his Nylabone Dinosaur. He's gnawed on it since he was 4 months old and only now is the dino's head starting to show some real wear. He has the stegosaurus, and here's a link to the t. rex: http://www.nylabone.com/products/non-edible/dental-chews/durable-dental-dinosaur.htm I gave up on Kongs as chew toys because my late dog would destroy them in a day, and I only use them now as retrieval toys. I tie 3/8 nylon rope through a medium Kong and make a loop. I can chuck it 80-100 yards, which is far enough out for it to stop bouncing before the dog gets there and risks breaking a tooth trying to catch it while it is still bouncing.

Just like anything else, please be careful. One of my dogs chewed a chunk off of the Rhino bone in a matter of minutes. The bone showed no signs of wear or tear prior. He only had access to it while I was standing a few feet away. I did not notice anything until a few days later he was vomiting. Long story short. The vet had to go in and get it. Not fun. My dogs now only get real marrow bones to keep in the crate. I freeze the bones and give them to my dogs frozen. Something that is digestible is safer. JMO Julie

I don't leave toys with my dogs anymore but do let them chew on them. With Rhino I don't have to immediately take it from them.
