From just one picture? Well, um... show line puppy with floppy ears.
Can you give a bit more info to go on?

Disregard the ears and its a pup with quite nice conformation. I know the father, dont't think that ears are coming from him. Mother side though....

I think he is nice. My pups ears looked alot like that, they went up at 4 months to the day. If he is 5 months I would think you might want to start working on them with taping or forms.

Start giving him a little knox gelatin mixed in with his food. It worked well for my pup.

I just keep on brushing them 'till they get thin and straight... The dam has kinkier hair but not found anywhere near the EARS. The sire's coat is also very PLUSH but Stockharrig...
Any comments is appreciated...

I try to get a fix on the GSD. try not to come across critically , although I call matters as I see them . Now don't get me wrong .. through the years I have purchased some GSDs with soft ears . but on this forum .. I have constantly commented about the GSD health matters, behavioral trait matters , conformation matterts... What really bothers me is .. I think most folks that visit this forum are iehter trying to learn or are quite well experienced with GSDs. Here we are .. the year 2007... and we still worry about the ears of the GSD erecting!! for those that are not versed.. this is a genetic based phenomenon! and I get critized about my comments. I breed GSDs ... but do you folks realize what a disgrace and how foolish a situation to still in the year 2007 discussing when , how and why ears in the GSDs go up ! It's a GSD for heavens sake ! not dobermans we are breeding here. and the most laughable feature .. my Gsds in the past that had soft ears .. they come from VA 1 lineage. ! isn't that a hoot . the point .. do you think anyone cares enough about the GSD to change .. lord a GSD ..year 2007 and we worry about protection at the sieger show , the ears , cardiac congenital anomilies etc etc. of course ..most .. just breed and sell what they don'y want .. i guess so what iy's just naoyher dog to most.. as for me .. yolu could offer me $50,000. cash and i still wouldn't give you my GSD and if the ears were done .. it's still my GSD and i wouldn't breed it. come on GSD breeders .. we can do better than this

You can get Knox Gelatin at the grocery store. It is very very cheap. It is an unflavored powder you can get in the Jell-O section. Give him about a tsp. or so. I always gave my dog a little more. It worked for him. It makes the ears stronger. There are many other things you can use also. Just go back and look at the posts about soft ears or make a new one. Im sure you will get alot of answers.
