Since I started feeding Blitz EVO he has had really bad gas and I do mean REALLY BAD GAS. He's about driving us out of the house. Anyone else having this problem?

Did you transfer him over slow? It is kinda rich for some dogs to go cold turkey.

Yup, a little bit of gas seems to be the norm when switching over to Evo.... I think it is one of the top two foods and feed it as well as Timberwolf Wild & Natural....
It's great but at a cost I guess...

Blitzen:
Hope all is well with you. Both of mine are on EVO. They do tend to have a potent case of gas every now and then. They can be in the other room and you can tell. Ugh. Truthfully, when I switched them over - I didn't notice it as much.
Hopefully, you can invest in some good air freshener (LOL). Take care.

Hi Crazee,
I like the air freshener that has a citrus scent LOL. I did switch him over gradually and it seems he started pssing gas from the first day he ate EVO. Someone suggested I add some enzymes for a while, will try that too.
Otherwise, we are all fine and hope you are too.

I feed my young male Innova EVO and I did not have any worse problems with gas than I had before. Unfortunately Chaco can rip a stink bomb loose from time to time. LOL.
It's a great diet, in fact one of the best in kibble, about as close to raw as you can get without having to deal with raw.
I hope it works out for you and your dog.
I also add Nupro Silver supplement, which has some good nutrients, amino acids, and enzymes, so maybe that's why Chaco doesn't have as many gas problems.

Blitzen...
You're funny!
I've come to the conclusion that all foods lately have been giving my dogs gas. I mean the kind that "lingers" and the only thing you can do is leave! Oh, and put the dog outside so they don't continue to contribute to the situation.
Two things I suggest for people switching foods are:
1. If you can get "Mother Hubbards" Char Tar Biscuits they contain charcoal and I give several a day.
If none in your area.
2. Find a health food store and go buy charcoal capsules. Try one before they eat and see what happens.
You can safely give a couple or three capsules for the "killer" farts and it works.
Hey people, it works on us too! That's why I keep it around.
Good Smells to you Blitzen!

Remmi doesn't have any problems on it. But I, too, give her enzymes with her meal so maybe that's why. My ten pound Havanese, on the other hand, is a fart factory. Any kind of food usually throws her into full production. I'm sure the Fart Nomes in her gut are working overtime every time I feed her. However, EVO lower fat is the only thing that puts the Nomes on strike.

Birdy, I'm not kidding you a few days ago I went through my cupboards thinking there had to be some spoiled food somewhere. Nope, it was just good old Blitz getting ready to erupt.
