I am interested in learning more about this dog. How good a dog was he? How was he as a producer? Thanks

The only thing that has ever scared me about grim, is the fact that his dad Ben z Bolfu has a 0/2 hip rating. The funny thing is that a lot of people say grim produces great hips. For me, there are too many pedigrees full of 0/0 ratings. I just always seem to go elsewhere.

Grim was a beautiful dog that produced very well. Out of him came some very big names, such as Dargo Ha Ja Da, Agi Jipo me, Ajka jipo me, Amalka z Pohranicni Straze and of course his legendary son.... Xero z pohranicni straze. SchH3, IPO3. Rated Velmi Dobry, 1st select breeding class,Hips & Elbows 0/0. Produced nice looking dogs with good structure. His second generation seems to be just as good including names like: Galant z pohranicni straze, Andy Naspo, Pluto z Pohranicni straze, Xant z Jirkova dvora, Tina Jipo-Me and many more. In his second generation Grim is usually on the dams side because he produced very nice and quality females and they produced very well. About Grim: SchH3,IPO3,ZVV3,ZM,ZPS1. Multiple competitor of WUSV, FCI and five times champion in Czech Republic. You cant get much better when it comes to working line German shepherds or any german shepherd for that matter.

KellyJ-Velmi Dobry=1st select breeding class? like VA? I always thought it was =to V rating. or do you mean it = KKL 1?

Grim produced great working drives but either produced very good hips or very bad. Also he was a known producer of floppy ears. I agree with Don Corleone. Better to stay with better hip producers. I have a grandson of Xero z PS that has very bad hips.I cringe when I see people line breeding on Grim.

He produced good hips(and good dogs) when crossed with the right bitches. Ones that had a good hip history.
