ok I went and looked and sent the following message
Hello, My name is Mitch I manage an animal shelter in Oregon, United States.
If we can take CD we will, I will see about getting donations toward the cost of shipping.
This dog does not deserve the abandonment bestowed upon him. It is obvious that the minimum care standards are NOT being met.
Can you remove him ??
Is there an owner ??
Why have you not charged them with neglect ??
His coat is matted, he looks thin, how about his Dental ??
This dog is clearly neglected !!
If you can get him surrendered we will take him, GLADLY !!
Now ZernoGSD, I don't know how not donating will help this dog, I could not figure that out, Please elaborate.
Also if I hear back from them I will post the response, and if they say yes we can have him, I will be asking for donation toward the shipping costs, If we are not able to cover the shipping we will not be able to do this.

that is so heartbreaking-echomeadows I'm sure that there are plenty of people here that would help to faciltate the removal of that poor animal to your shelter and help financially also. what a sad situation--makes you want to go and hug your dogs.

Sorry, I should have explained, the SSPCA is a scottish charity , Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, they have known about this dog for 5 years and have done nothing about it and continue to do nothing about it.
I was asking that people not to donate to SSPCA as they obviously do not care about animals
German Shepherd Rescue are attempting to raise funds to save this dog and many others that are abandoned or are in dog pounds awaiting re -homing. You can donate to them by following the link.

ZernoGSD thank You for clearing that up, I will say this, I don't know the laws there, According "to the laws" there very well may be nothing they can do, Are the conditions good No they are not, However they may very well be "acceptable per law" and therefore allows this SSPCA to do nothing !!!!! "they're hands may be tied" I don't think that asking people NOT to donate is an appropriate action by anyone.
I would ask you NOT to do that anymore, It is possible funding or LACK THEREOF also prevents them from doing MORE.
We have a Motto here, "We do what we can"
You can NOT save them all, Much as we would like to, WE CAN NOT !!! so We do what we can, But with someone out there saying "DO NOT DONATE" well makes you just wanna quit !! So Caution to you ZernoGSD, Recognize them for what they can and are able to do, If they fall short, Recognize the "REAL" reasons behind it.
