Has any one else has any reaction to dogs, I picked up my new 8 week old Shepherd yesterday and today I'm itching like mad not 100% sure it is the dog but it is a big coincidence. Just wondered it anyone else has had a similar problem.
By the way the puppy is gorgeous and (touch wood!!) reasonably well behaved.

Sounds like "FLEAS" to me !

Could be a case of Fleas or mites. Have him/her checked by the vet and rule those out. I am allergic to dog saliva, but I have just taught my dogs not to lick, but when I have puppies, I just wear long sleeves and magic glove to prevent my itching.

definitely not fleas had her checked by the vet when we took her for her vacinations today she said there no sign of fleas and she is in good health.

Have you ever been allergic to any soaps? I have seen reactions from that. Maybe bathe her in something you have used before and see it it makes a difference. She could have been bathed from something you are not tolerant of. Just a wild thought. Sometimes the residual soap can affect a person like it does with sheets washed in something intolerant to you. Like I said a long shot but one to consider. Good luck
