Truck Mounted Dog Boxes - Page 1

Hi I am researching a new vehicle. I have seen some nice trucks made by a comapny called Ainley Kennels. Has anyone seen their vehicles or had any dealings with them. Any alternate recomendations? THe kind of thing I'm looking for is a 6 box unit that gets put on the back of a crew cab pickup truck. I guess it's the kind of thing you see for animal control departments. Jon sells various custom mounted dog boxes from a one dog unit to six dog truck mounted unit. The dog boxes are made of 1/4 inch insulated aircraft aluminum. This material is much cooler in the summer than other traditional dog boxes and also has a tremendous insulation factor against cold. If you contact Jon he can send you some pictures and prices. Gooner, I owned an Ainley 4 box dog trailer for a few years and liked it. The doors often needed adjusted and the way they were designed, the dogs could work the latches from the inside and get out. Not a good thing. I now have a WT-Mettal 4 stall trailer and like it alot better. I also have now a Swab 6 dog transportation box that is made for a pick-up truck. You take the truck bed off and bolt on this fiberglass dog box. It has double doors, individual air intakes so you don't get any cross contamination from a sick dog to the other stalls, and a pee drain in each compartment.
