Are many people using this tool to do nails? If so, do you use it? Thanks in advance?

Baxter, I know a couple groomers that use them, never seen it done myself, My dogs would probably go bonkers wondering why they're feet were tingling. :-)

I use a dremel all the time. I'm not good at judging where to cut the nails and inevitably cut into the quick. Using a dremel eliminates that and my dogs just sit patiently until I'm done.

I also use the dremel. Very good tool to use. You need to get your dog used to the noise and the feel of the dremel. It takes a little longer but the results are better. There is no way to cut the quick because the heat from the dremel prevents this.

Maybe I used the wrong thingy on it because it didn't seem to do anything much.  It was helpful, though, smoothing the rough edges aftle clipping (which I cringe at doing every single time).

Anybody know of a website with pictures of how short the nails should be? I know I probably leave them too long.

All of my dogs and even one cat get the nails done via the dremel. It takes a bit of time with some to desensitize them to it. It is just easier for me to use, and I know I won't cut nails too close. I use the rechargable one from Wally World. Cost 20 bucks and for a few years I haven't had any problems with it.

Thanks Animules.  That answers my question.
