Linebreeding 3-3, 4-4, ect. The first number represents the Male- in his 3rd generation of his pedigree a dog appears(say GSD"Cello") and the second number represents the female in her 3rd generation of her pedigree the exact same dog appears (the same dog GSD"Cello").

Here is just a bit more detail. Let's say again the ancestor in the linebreeding is "Cello" and he is presented as 2,3-3,4,4. Please note the positions of the commas and the dash mark.
The first group of numbers separated by a comma indicate that "Cello" is present once in generation 2 and once in generation 3 of the Sire's side of the pedigree.
The numbers after the dash indicate that "Cello" is also present once in generation 3 and twice in generation 4 of the Dam's side of the pedigree.
Note that for many dogs you will see linebreeding indicated on more than one (1) male and/or female. And you may very well see the same male or female appearing more than once in the same generation of either side of the pedigree, especially when approaching generations 4 and 5.
I hope this helps,
