Hi all,
My weekend project is to put together a good first aid kit for the dogs.
I am organizing it as follows...skin problems/wounds, gastric problems/bloat, poisoning, rescusitation. So far I have bandages, syringes, vet wrap, benadryl, enteric asa, activated charcoal, epinephrine, atropine, lomotil, amoxicillin, skin spray with tea tree oil and aloe,ET tube, red rubber catheters.
What am I forgetting? Any suggestions on this project?
Thank you for your help.

A soft muzzle is a biggie. Latex gloves for the people, good plain eye drops, thermometer, stethescope (sp?), instant hand sanitizer, clean cotton wipes vacuum sealed to keep dry and clean, large non-stick bandages, staple or suture set, aspirin.
If your vet will supply it, a mild sedative to keep the dog quiet until you can reach help if need be.

hemostats and/or tweezers, rectal thermometer, individually packaged antiseptic wipes, isopropyl alcohol, buffered aspirin

with what they've added, and animules mentioned it, might want to get a small amount of ace to keep in case sedation is necessary. Ace you can even give in the mouth rather than injecting.

I would suggest that in addition to the first aid kit, I know mine contains a Mini-Flashlight, a pair of blunt end scissors, and some water and Hydrogen Poroxide. Okay, just my two cents
