This is serious stuff, not to be taken lightly! Two years ago, my very good friend started complaining on headaches and nauseua. Her husband was exhibiting the same as she. After several trips to the homeopathic doctor there was still no relief. At this point my friend decided to opt for convential MD. As this continued her German Shepherd bitch age 7 started to loose interest in eating, then started having seizures....The middle shepherd age 5 began exhibiting the same as dog 1. Many thousands of dollars later her dogs were dead, the house stripped of all furniture, wall paper etc. and specialist were brought in to detox the house. Her insurance company only covered $5,000. for mold. Just desposing of the household items cost several thousands. The worst part is she lost 3 beautiful young shepherds. All were very well cared for, and involved in Schutzhund. The last dog, a 3 year old male died on Chistmas day, after the vets could not stop his seizing. This woman did all she could to save her dogs. Please do not let rhis happpen to you.
Please check your house for mold, even if you find a small wet spot please check it out carefully. It is not known what long term effects this will have on her and her husband. As bad as it is, loosing all her possessions, the loss of the dogs put her over the edge. She was very ill and depressed. Now, after 2 years she has finally resumed contact with me and is trying to heal.

8 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT AND PAID CASH FOR MY COTTAGE IN THE WOODS,,,ON PIER AND BEAM AND I HAD AN INSPECTOR BEFORE CLOSING.....MY SON DISCOVERED THAT THE BEAM CLEAR ACCROSS THE FRONT AND IN THE MIDDLE OF HOUSE WAS SO ROTTEN ,,,,AND OF COURSE,,,THE INSPECTOR WAS FOUND GUILTY OF MISSING IT AND TO THE TUNE OF 4000.00 HAD TO COME REPLACE IT AND FIX THE SPLIT IN MY CEILING....ROTTEN WOOD CAUSED BY A TOILET YEARS BEFORE THAT OVERFLOWED......WE CHECKED FOR MOLD VERY CAREFULLY....BECAUSE EVEN IN EAST TEXAS IT IS PREVELANT....

I have been dealing with black mold for years and I have come to the conclusion that our water contains the spore.
I am a builder and we have used all the approved chemicals, tore out and replaced everything brand new, and we still have it reappear. I dont drink our water anymore, and use a cistern for the animals. It hasnt caused health problems but then again I wouldnt know until someone comes down sick.
I brought this up with our water company and was blown off.
Treated lumber, carpet, paneling, even house hold cleaners, theres no shortage of toxins in our homes.

Mold.....spelling)
luvmidog advised me on new years day...if I would tell the insurance co I have 8 belgium import dogs,,,,and dont say shepherds ,,they would insure my home......
Tiekerhook is Belgium and Enclavehof , I dont remembere where his kennel is ,,but Im gonna believe it is Belgium.....so I guess I now know, how to get insurance, until the inspector comes to check the house....id have to load them all on a trailer and hide them in the woods..down the road...then they would see the cockers and say oh you have ankle biters......lol

Frans (Enclavehof) is also Belgian.... I was always told Nationwide insured homeowners with GSD's, no questions asked..... and I believe they are licensed all over the US.....
My insurance doesn't ever know how many dogs I have and they certainly don't know what I do... once they questioned and threatened to send out evaluators and I said bring it on and they better have more credentials than me. We have never had any claims related to the dogs.
Nowadays, you can't be without insurance... there are also contacts to make about just this subject.... I wish I could remember them!
